In one implementation, the implant includes a distal leading end, a proximal trailing end, a first face, and a second face. The distal leading end has a distal surface generally opposite a proximal surface of the proximal trailing end. The first face has a first surface that is generally parallel with a second surface of the second face. The first and second faces extend between the distal leading end and the proximal trailing end. The first and second surfaces having one or more textured features adapted to provide friction with the spinal facet joint. One or more windows are defined in the first and/or second surfaces, and one or more side windows are defined in the first and/or second side surfaces.

In one aspect, disclosed is an intervertebral fixation device having a housing sized to be positioned between adjacent inferior and superior vertebrae. The housing includes an internal volume defined by an inferior coupling element, a superior coupling element, and first and second sidewalls. The device includes at least one flexible element coupled to an internal surface of at least one of the inferior or superior coupling elements. The at least one flexible element projects into the internal volume of the housing when in a first configuration. The device includes at least one fixation member coupled to the flexible element and sized to extend through a corresponding aperture in the inferior or superior coupling element.

摘要： An orthopedic prosthesis, system and method has a dual bearing component that, along with first and second bone anchoring components, provides multi-axial movement separately with respect to both the first and second bone anchoring components. An ankle prosthesis, system and method may thus be fashioned utilizing these principles that includes a dual bearing component, a tibial component adapted for attachment to the tibia bone, and a talar component adapted for attachment to the talus or calceneus bone of the foot. The dual bearing component includes a superior bearing providing gliding articulation/translation between it and the tibial component, and an inferior bearing providing gliding articulation/translation between it and the talar component. A bearing component plate provides a base or foundation for the superior and inferior bearings. The superior bearing is bonded to the bearing component plate while the inferior bearing moves with respect to the bearing component plate.

摘要： A system for spinal surgery includes a prosthesis comprising a plurality of bone anchors which engage an intervertebral construct for fusion or motion preservation. The fusion construct comprises a spacer optionally encircled by a jacket. The motion preservation construct may comprise an articulating disc assembly or an elastomeric disc assembly. Any of the constructs may occupy the intervertebral disc space between adjacent vertebrae after removal of an intervertebral disc. The anchors slidingly engage the construct to securely fix the prosthesis to the vertebrae. The anchors and jacket of the fusion construct provide a continuous load path across opposite sides of the prosthesis so as to resist antagonistic motions of the spine.

摘要： The invention relates to a hip joint endoprosthesis system comprising a socket (1), an inlay (2), a head (3), optionally a separate neck (4) and a shank (5). Said inlay (2) is provided with one or several elevations (25) in such a way that the head (3) luxation is prevented. The inlay (2) is embodied such that it is displaceable in the socket (1) and the luxation thereof is prevented by guiding/stop elements (12) interacting with grooves (22). The arrangements displayed on a figure(a) prevent a luxation and improve the range of all-direction motions represented by a half of a total angle. Additionally or alternatively, the presence of the inlay recesses (24) and/or socket recesses (14) makes it possible to increase the range of motions (ROM) in a main displacement direction (extension/flexion). The arrangement displayed on a figure (b) shows the ROM in an abduction/adduction direction, represented by an abduction angle. The sight of a cross section shown on a figure (c), displays the ROM represented by an angle in the extension/flexion plane according to the arrangement. In addition, individual components and a required operational technique are adapted by means of corresponding adjustment in the shank/ neck area. The shanks (5), the intraoperative orientation thereof and the possibility thereof to be removed when required in future are optimised.
