摘要： A device for securing soft tissue includes a suture construct having a first end and a second end, a braided tubular portion formed from yarn and defining a lumen, the lumen being open at the first end, and a non-braided portion formed from the yarn at the second end. The non-braided portion forms a loop at the second end. A method of securing a graft includes placing a graft through the loop of the suture construct, pulling on the suture construct to locate the loop and graft in a bone tunnel, and placing a locking device within the lumen of the suture construct to secure the suture construct and graft in the bone tunnel.

摘要： A multi-piece device for providing fixation of soft tissue (for example, ligament) to bone is a ligament fixation system consisting of a larger collar (20, 120) that is initially impacted into a bone aperture, and a smaller plug/bullet-shaped part (30, 130) that is impacted into the larger collar. During ligament repair/reconstruction, the graft (90) is inserted into a bone tunnel with sutures (95) from the graft extending outside the tunnel. The sutures are passed through a collar of the multi-part device and the collar (20, 120) is then inserted into the bone tunnel. The graft suture strands may be tensioned. Subsequently, the smaller plug/bullet-shaped part is impacted into the collar thereby maintaining the tension on the graft sutures. The plug/bullet-shaped part is tightened after the desired tension on the suture is achieved.

摘要： A support assembly for a replacement ligament is disclosed, for positioning the ligament in a bone tunnel formed in a joint between two adjacent bones and reinforcing the joint. The support assembly has a particular use in the reconstmction of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). One disclosed support assembly (24) comprises a fixation device (28) for a replacement ligament (26), the fixation device adapted to overlie a mouth (36) of a bone tunnel (16) and having a bone facing surface (34) which can abut an external surface (38) of a bone (12) to thereby position the ligament in the bone tunnel and support tensile loading on the ligament; a support element (30) for the replacement ligament, the support element being coupled to the fixation device and adapted to receive the ligament so that the ligament can be secured to the fixation device and thus positioned within the bone tunnel when the fixation device is located so that it overlies the tunnel mouth; and an extra-articular reinforcement element (32), the extra-articular reinforcement element being coupled to the fixation device and adapted to extend from the fixation device to an anchor point (54, 56) which is remote from the mouth of the bone tunnel, to provide extra-articular reinforcement for the joint.

摘要： A system for syndesmosis repair includes a flat band secured to bone by pulling a metal button through both the tibial and fibula bones, which button is then toggled into position to create tension, along the band, across the two bone segments to be fixated. Once the button is secure against the bone, flat suture tails against the lock at the initial insertion site serves to tension the band and bone segments in place. The system band offers syndesmosis repair with a knotless closure. The system is designed to provide this stabilized fixation for bone fractures, osteotomies, and arthrodesis, plus soft tissue to bone attachment, if desired. It is designed to apply a restorative fixation force across the tissue segments to stabilize them. The band's rigidity and compliant nature provides consistent and rigid fixation during the healing phase.
