    • An apparatus that connects an imaging treatment guidance system (ITGS) to a fixed location in a patient. One example of an ITGS is the Medtronic StealthStation® Treatment Guidance System used in the O-arm TM Surgical Imaging System. The apparatus is fixed relative to a patient at a proximal end, and supports the ITGS at a distal end. The apparatus has a plurality of adjustably-joined arms. In one embodiment, the proximal end of the apparatus is attached to a pin distractor fixed to the anterior spine of a patient. The apparatus provides multiplanar adjustability of the array in space. The apparatus can be designed such that it is compatible with many navigation systems by making the connection at a distal end a universal type clamp. In another embodiment a fixed arm is provided in which the joints or hinges are eliminated.

    • The present invention relates to a positioning device (1) for a medical field generator (2), comprising: - a base member (3) which comprises at least one contacting section (3a) and is configured to contact the upper surface of an operating table; - an adaptor (4) which is connected to the base member (3) and configured to support the field generator (2); and - fixing means (5) which allow the positioning device (1) to be fixed to an operating table, wherein the adaptor (4) is configured to prevent the field generator (2) from being positioned at less than a predetermined distance from the operating table. The present invention also relates to a method for positioning a medical field generator (2), comprising the following steps: - providing a medical field generator (2) and a positioning device (1) as described above; - attaching the field generator (2) to the positioning device (1); - positioning a base member (3) of the positioning device (1), with the field generator (2) attached to it, on the upper surface of an operating table and beneath a part of a patient's body, in particular the head of a patient lying on the operating table; - fixing the positioning device (1) to the operating table.

    • The present invention provides a leveling platform for an i LA® /external lung device which can be patient adjusted. The platform includes upper and lower planar support members pivotally attached to each other along one side of each member and the opposed side includes an adjustment mechanism for pivoting the top support member with respect to the bottom support members to provide a level adjustment. The top support member includes a retaining mechanism for holding an i LA® ECLS device and level indicators to indicate whether or not the top support member is level. The bottom support member rests on a surface such as a bed or chair to which the platform can be secured. Once the ECLS device is connected to the patient and supported in the ECLS device is mounted on the top surface of the leveling platform and if required, the adjustment mechanism is engaged by the clinician or patient to level the ECLS device. The leveling platform safely secures an i LA® /ECLS device to a bed, chair, wheelchair, table, pole, walker or cart. The leveling platform disclosed herein addresses the current clinical requirements and safety issues associated with the i LA® /ECLS devices.
