A user of the deep- fryer (1) can thus additionally heat the deep-frying medium temporarily. The temperature of the deep-frying medium is then temporarily not determined by the thermostat (16) because this is bypassed. The finally deep-fried food will hereby be deep- fried at a temperature which differs to lesser extent from the desired deep-frying temperature.
