摘要： The present invention is directed generally to a method of production of biobased chemicals from lignin sources, including waste lignin. This method may allow for selectively producing biobased chemicals from lignin sources using certain processing methods. The methods for production of these biobased chemicals may be provided by oxidative processing in the presence of a caustic. Further, the oxidative processing, including catalytic oxidative processing and stoichiometric oxidative processing, may also be used. The present invention may also provide control over lignin bond fragmentation in the selective production of the biobased chemicals.

摘要： The present invention is directed generally to a method of production of biobased chemicals, biofuels, and lignin residues from lignin sources, including waste lignin. This method may allow for selectively producing biobased chemicals, biofuels, and lignin residues from lignin sources using certain processing methods. The methods for production of these biobased chemicals, biofuels, and lignin residues may be provided by chemical-induced processing, catalytic oxidative lignin depolymerisation processing, and catalytic hydroprocessing. Further, the catalytic hydroprocessing from processes including catalytic reduction processing, catalytic hydrodeoxygenation processing, and/or catalytic/dehydrogenation processing may also be used. The method described herein also provides a means in which waste from the process(es) may be reduced and/or recycled.

摘要： An oral appliance of the present invention includes a maxillary plate fitting over the teeth of an upper jaw of a patient and a mandibular plate fitting over the teeth of the lower jaw of the patient. An expandable nasal appliance is configured of two elements, a nasal cavity dilator and an insertion and removal tool. The tool functions with the dilator to deliver the dilator into the nasal cavity of the patient and expand the dilator to expand the nasal cavity. A method of treating snoring/sleep apnea includes performing an initial patient evaluation and assessing an upper airway of the patient. The above two procedures typically encompass the initial assessment of the patient. The initial patent evaluation can include one or more assessments of the patient. A new Continuous/Bi-Level Positive Airway Pressure device (C/BiPAP) is operable to deliver breathing gas such as air, oxygen or a mixture thereof at relatively higher and lower pressures (i.e., generally equal to or above ambient atmospheric pressure) to a patient either as preset or in proportion to the patient's respiratory flow for treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea Syndrome (OSAS). The device can be for a single patient or a dual/multiple patient C/BiPAP.
