    • A method in a network node (110) for configuring cells for downlink operations in a telecommunications system (100) is provided. The network node (110) is configured to support non-contiguous downlink operations on more than one cell (f 1 , f 2 , f 3 , f 4 ) in at least one frequency band. The network node (110) receives a signal from a user equipment (121) in the telecommunications system(100). The signal comprises information about radio access capability of the user equipment (121). Information about radio access capability of the user equipment (121) comprises a first indication which indicates the maximum number of cells that is supported by the user equipment (121) in the non- contiguous downlink operation. Furthermore, the information about radio access capability of the user equipment (121) comprises a second indication which indicates the maximum gap bandwidth between cells (f 1 , f 2 , f 3 , f 4 ) that is supported by the user equipment (121) in the non-contiguous downlink operation. Then, the network node (110) configures more than one cell (f 1 , f 2 , f 3 , f 4 ) for a non-contiguous downlink operation supported by the user equipment (121) based on the first and second indication in the information about radio access capability of the user equipment (121). A network node (110), a method in user equipment and a user equipment (121) are also provided.

    • A method in a radio receiver arrangement for receiving data blocks of radio signalling. The method comprises receiving a plurality of data blocks over a radio interface from a transmitting side. The method also comprises applying a single hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process to the plurality of data blocks, whereby it is determined that at least one of the plurality of data blocks has been received ok and that at least one of the plurality of data blocks has not been received ok. The method also comprises generating a negative acknowledgement (NAK) for the plurality of data blocks in response to the at least one of the plurality of data blocks having not been received ok.     • Techniques for signaling radio Sink control (RLC) status reports to a wireless network, such as a network supporting multi-carrier High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA). An example method performed in a mobile terminal comprises calculating a throughput estimate data transmissions to the mobile terminal, determining a rate at which to send radio link control status reports, based on the throughput estimate K and sending radio link control status reports to the wireless network node at the determined rate. In some embodiments,, the mobile terminal determines the rate at which to send radio link contra! status reports by comparing the throughput estimate to a threshold value and selecting the rate based on the comparison. The threshold value may be received from the wireless network node prior to the comparison.

The method further includes generating channel measurements based on the node-specific pilot signals. The channel measurements include a separate channel measurement for each transmission node based on the node-specific pilot signal transmitted by the transmission node. The method further includes selecting a desired combination of nodes from the subset of the transmission nodes based directly or indirectly on the channel measurements and providing an indication of the desired combination of nodes to the central control node for the combined cell.

    • Disclosed are methods as well user equipments (UE) 200 for data demodulation. In one example, the UE 200 comprises a receiver (Rx) 224; a transmitter (Tx) 224, a demodulator 225; a decoder 226; a processor 221; and a memory. An order message can be received by the receiver 224 from a radio network node 210. The order message orders the UE to utilize both additional pilots and common pilots. In response to the receiver 224 receiving said order message, the transmitter 224 may return an ACK message to the radio network node 210. The receiver 224 may also be configured to receive data from the radio network node 210. The memory 222 stores computer program code which, when run in the processor 221,causes the demodulator 225to demodulate received data utilizing additional pilots in addition to common pilots. Furthermore, the memory 222and the computer program code are configured to, together with the processor 221, cause the demodulator 225 to demodulate received data utilizing only common pilots when the decoder226is unsuccessful in decoding received data demodulated by utilizing additional pilots in addition to common pilots.
