The first conveyor (22) has a plurality of spatially disposed support assemblies (28) connected thereto, each of the support assemblies (28) selectively movable between a retracted position and an extended position and the second conveyor (24) has a plurality of spatially disposed chutes (30) supported thereon, each of the chutes (30) having an object receiving space (42) formed therein adapted to receive a plurality of flower pot covers (12) , at least a portion of the second conveyor (24) spatially disposed above the first conveyor (22) such that a portion of the travel path of the second conveyor (24) overlaps a portion of the travel path of the first conveyor (22) so the that the support assemblies (28) on the first conveyor (22) are aligned with the chutes (30) on the second conveyor (24).

The apparatus includes a supporting platform (18), a pot receiving opening (25) formed through the supporting platform, a forming member (24) concentric with the pot receiving opening, a bonding material applicator, and a printing and/or label applicator. The forming member (24) is designed and disposed such that upon insertion of the flower pot and the sheet of material (12) into the pot receiving opening (25) the forming member (24) presses the sheet of material against an outer peripheral surface (34) of the flower pot (14). The bonding material applicator is designed or disposed so as to apply a bonding material to the sheet of material for bonding the sheet of material to the flower pot.
