摘要： Process to prepare a heavy and a light lubricating base oil from a partly isomerised Fischer-Tropsch derived feedstock (1), said feedstock having an initial boiling point of below 400 °C and a final boiling point of above 600 °C by (a) separating, by means of distillation, said fraction into a light base oil precursor fraction and a heavy base oil precursor fraction, (b) reducing the pour point of each separate base oil precursor fraction by means of dewaxing, (c) and isolating the desired base oil products from said dewaxed oil fractions as obtained in step (b).

摘要： The invention provides a shaped catalyst carrier which is an inorganic refractory oxide having a monomodal mercury pore volume distribution wherein at least 50% of the total pore volume is present in pores having a pore diameter in the range of from 4 to 50 nm, a catalyst incorporating said carrier and having a high metals content. The catalyst finds use in hydrocracking refinery feedstocks.

摘要： Process for the catalytic dewaxing of hydrocarbon oil feed comprising waxy molecules, which process comprises the steps of: (a) contacting the feed under catalytic dewaxing conditions with a catalyst composition comprising a molecular sieve containing covalently bound alumina moieties in its framework and having pores with a diameter in the range of from 0.35 to 0.80 nm, and (b) recovering a product having a reduced pour point, wherein the molecular sieve has been modified to reduce the mole percentage of alumina. Step (a) can be divided into two steps: a first shape selective isomerisation step (a1) and a second selective cracking step (a2). At least in step (a2) a catalyst comprising a modified molecular sieve as described above is used. Catalyst composition comprising a hydrogenation component supported on a carrier comprising a molecular sieve having pores with a diameter in the range of from 0.35 to 0.80 nm and containing covalently bound alumina moieties in its framework, which molecular sieve has been modified to reduce the mole percentage of alumina. Catalyst composition comprising dealuminated ferrierite crystallites, which composition is free of any hydrogenation component.
