摘要： Transfer of Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Services (MBMS) over a Single Frequency Network (MBSFN) service and idle mode unicast service for a mobile entity from a source base station to a target base station may be managed by a base station or mobile entity of a cellular wireless communications system (WCS). Operations related to the transfer may include obtaining an MBMS status of the mobile entity, and/or obtaining MBMS support information for the base station. A network entity may facilitate MBMS discovery by a mobile entity, by transmitting a data element to the mobile entity including service identifiers mapped to corresponding cell identifiers to indicate respective MBMS services to be broadcast in an WCS area on adjacent cells identified by respective ones of the cell identifiers. The MBMS services may be broadcast within the WCS area using the adjacent cells previously indicated in the data element.

摘要： In an embodiment, a user equipment (UE) determines that a client application has entered a period of transmission inactivity whereby the UE will not be required to transmit data on behalf of the client application. The UE selectively transmits a transmission inactivity notification to an access network (AN) to notify the AN of the transmission inactivity period. The AN receives the transmission inactivity notification and determines to transition the UE from a first state to a second state based at least in part on the received transmission inactivity notification, the second state associated with lower-power consumption of the UE than the first state. The AN sends instructions to the UE to facilitate the transition of the UE from the first state to the second state. In another embodiment, the AN can send instructions to the UE to prohibit the UE from sending transmission inactivity notifications.

摘要： An access point may control reporting configurations based on current power state of a cell in wireless communications network. The first cell may provide reporting configuration instructions to a second cell, instructing selection between at least two defined configurations for reporting system information or load information from the second cell, based on whether the first cell is in a powered up state or a powered down state. The first cell may transmit notifications to the second cell indicating when the first cell is transitioning to a current power state, which may be one of the powered up state or the powered down state. The first cell may select one of the at least two configurations for interpreting reporting data received from the second cell, based its current power state, to obtain the system information or the load information from the second cell.

A user equipment (550) may generate and send a plurality of channel quality indicator (CQI) values to a base station (510). Handover request messages for a relay and related user equipment (UE) can be grouped to lessen signaling requirements for handover.
