摘要： In an aspect, a UE receives, from a first cell, cell reselection information (e.g., via RRCConnectionRelease message or RRCRelease message). The UE identifies one or more omitted parameters associated with a SIB for cell reselection (e.g., SIB4, SIB5 or SIB24) that are omitted from the cell reselection information. The UE performs a cell reselection procedure from the first cell to a second cell based on the cell reselection information and one or more locally determined values for the one or more omitted parameters.

摘要： Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for avoiding conflicts between evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Services (eMBMS) operations and paging and/or mobile originated (MO) operations in communication systems. A method for wireless communications by a user Equipment (UE) is provided. The method generally includes identifying at least one evolved Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service (eMBMS) session available for receiving one or more eMBMS services from a base station. The method also includes taking one or more actions to reduce a conflict between receiving the one or more eMBMS services from the base station and receiving a paging message from the base station during the eMBMS session. Numerous other aspects are provided.

摘要： A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus receives a service through an MBMS session. The apparatus receives a notification of an upcoming suspension of the MBMS session. The apparatus initiates establishment of a unicast bearer prior to the suspension of the MBMS session upon receiving the notification of the upcoming suspension. The apparatus receives the service corresponding to the MBMS session via unicast when the unicast bearer is established. In an aspect, the notification of the upcoming suspension may be received during a first MCCH modification period, the service corresponding to the MBMS session is received via unicast during a second MCCH modification period. In an aspect, the apparatus may further receive a notification that the MBMS session is suspended during the second MCCH modification period.

For example, there is provided a method that involves generating an RLC protocol data unit (PDU) according to a segmentation protocol for maximizing RLC PDU size while allowing the RLC PDU to fit into a defined MAC transport block, the RLC PDU comprising at least one RLC service data unit (SDU) or RLC SDU segment. The method may involve determining a PDU data size for each given RLC SDU. The method may further involve (a) attaching a given RLC SDU to the RLC PDU and (b) delivering the RLC PDU to a lower layer, in response to a SDU data size for the given RLC SDU exceeding a defined size limit.

The proposed circuit-switched fallback procedure, employing an improved UE hardware architecture, allows for certain connection setup procedures to occur in parallel, such as the UE pre-acquiring the TD-SCDMA cell. The parallel operations thus speed up the circuit-switched fallback procedure and reduce existing delays in executing circuit-switched fallback from TDD-LTE to TD-SCDMA networks.

By knowing the correct TDD-LTE downlink and uplink subframe configurations, a user equipment device (UE) may temporarily leave the TD-SCDMA network during an idle interval and perform expedited and accurate measurement of TDD-LTE reference signals without errors from trying to measure reference signals during uplink subframes.

The MS having multiple SIMs may operate in a network via a particular radio access technology (RAT), such as Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) 1xRTT (1 times Radio Transmission Technology). By having aligned paging intervals, the MS may wake up only once during the paging cycles for the various identifying numbers rather than waking up multiple times, thereby reducing power consumption of the MS during idle mode compared to a conventional MS with multiple SIMs, and thus multiple identifying numbers.
