摘要： A modular pipe running assembly (100) has a universal actuator assembly (10) having a control fluid swivel. An external pipe gripping assembly (130) can be attached to the actuator assembly for gripping the external surface of a section of pipe (300). Alternatively, the external pipe gripping assembly can be quickly and easily removed and replaced with an internal pipe gripping assembly for gripping the internal surface of a section of pipe. Control fluid pressure is trapped within the actuator assembly, but relieved from a fluid swivel, permitting high speed rotation of the modular pipe gripping assembly and preserving swivel seal life.

摘要： A mating connection assembly (10) permits quick and efficient connection and disconnection of tubular goods and equipment. A female box-end connection member (200) has a body, a central through-bore (201), a bowl-like receptacle section having a tapered internal surface (203) and inwardly-extending load shoulder members (204) along the tapered internal surface, grouped in stacks of spaced-apart rows. A mating male pin-end connection member (100) has a body section, a tapered pin extension, a central through-bore (101) and lug members (106) on the outer surface of the tapered pin extension. The tapered pin extension of the male pin-end connection member can be stabbed into the female box-end connection member and partially rotated. When joined in mating relationship, the connection assembly provides a fluid pressure seal, supports high-tensile axial loading and permits the transmission of torque through the connection assembly.
