    • The invention relates to a method for production of a corrosion-resistant and/or oxidation-resistant coating, whereby at least one metal of the platinum group, in particular, platinum and/or palladium, or an alloy made from at least one metal of the platinum group, is deposited on the surface of a substrate by galvanisation and, subsequently, the substrate thus galvanically coated is subjected to an alitising process. In a first embodiment of the invention, the galvanic deposition of the metal(s) of the platinum group, or the corresponding alloy, is carried out in an at least two-stage process, whereby in a first stage of the deposition process, a current, applied for galvanisation, is continuously or incrementally increased from an initial value to a maximum value and, in a second stage of the deposition process, the current applied for galvanisation, is held constant at the maximum value. In a second embodiment of the invention, the galvanic deposition of the metal(s) of the platinum group or the corresponding alloy, is carried out using an open-celled, open-mesh or porous anode, whereby, during the galvanic deposition, a relative movement is established between a galvanic bath and the substrate and the open-celled, open-mesh or porous anode(s). An embodiment in which both aspects of the invention are combined is preferred.
