摘要： What is described is a commonly coupled high frequency transmitting/receiving switching module (100). The switching module (100) has a transmitting circuit (102), a receiving circuit (104), an antenna circuit (106), an external circuit (108), a coupling circuit (110) and control circuits (124, 126). The switching module may be switched between one of four circuit paths (202, 204, 206, 208) each path incorporating an integral harmonic filter (210, 212). This structure is adapted for use in a multi-layer ceramic integrated circuit, and provides the advantage of minimizing current consumption with a minimal number of components.

摘要： Ceramic dielectric substrates (12), calcium titanate, bismuth titanate and strontium titanate, used with superconductor, Ytrium Barium Copper Oxide, or YBC, as an electrode (14, 16) produce a superconducting electrical device, useable as a filter or capacitor. The electrical device formed by using one of the dielectrics taught herein in combination with YBC, is mechanically stable in comparison to prior art ceramic dielectrics that used YBC for an electrode material, in that the YBC is substantially free of microcracks and remains bonded to the substrates.

摘要： A switch circuit for a cellular radiotelephone operable in a TDMA communication scheme. The switch circuit (206) is disposed upon a plurality of tandemly-positioned ceramic substrates having transmission lines (250) disposed upon one of the ceramic substrates. The switch circuit alternately connects transmitter circuitry (212) to an antenna (218) or receiver circuitry (224) to the antenna (218), thereby alternately to permit transmission or reception of signals generated by, or received by the radiotelephone. Because circuits disposed upon ceramic materials are of low insertion losses, the switch circuit (206) is advantageously utilized to form a portion of the radiotelephone.

摘要： A method for producing input/output connections in a ceramic device and apparatus produced thereby is disclosed. The ceramic device can provide wraparound input/output connections. The method (200) can include first providing a plurality of ceramic layers (202) forming a via in at least one of the ceramic layers (204), filling the via with metalization (206), laminating the ceramic layers to form a multilayer ceramic laminate (208), scoring the laminate with lines that extend substantially through the via (210), cofiring the ceramic laminate and metalization (212), and cleaving the laminate along the scored line (214). A ceramic device using this method can provide a wraparound connection extending partially up the side thereof, which can be advantageous in many multi-layer applications.

The circuit (100) also includes a filter combined with the antenna switch circuitry. The filter circuit uses the stray capacitance (104, 108) of the switch circuit to realize its intended function. Such an efficient use of the stray components of one circuit by another provides for a spatially efficient substrate.
