    • An intracoronary catheter measures pressure distal to a lesion (Pd) and has a fluid lumen for administers adenosine to a patient's vasculature. A controller is configured to provide an injection of adenosine, wait for a period of time, measure Pd, and compare Pd to the Pd measured before the injection of the adenosine. If the difference between the pressures is small or below a threshold, the controller will stop further injections of adenosine because Pd has been determined to be at a relatively constant value. If the pressure difference is large or above a threshold, the controller will provide another adenosine injection, wait for a time period and again measure Pd and compare it to the previous Pd. This process will continue until the measured Pd reaches a relatively constant value.

    • A method for quickly and accurately identifying a digital file (102), specifically one that represents an audio file. The identification can be used for tracking royalty payments to copyright owners. A database stores features of various audio files and a globally unique identifier (GUID) for each file. Advantageously, the method allows a database to be updated in the case of a new audio file by storing its features and generating a new unique identifier for the new file. The file is sampled to generate a fingerprint (106) that is used to determine if the file matched a file stored in the database (108). Advantageously, any label used for the work is automatically updated if it appears to be in error.

    • Method and system provided for creating a dynamic playlist including meta-data having potential association with a respective content item configured to be played on a content player, and having dynamic addition of subtraction of playlist items. The system maintains a database of linkages between elements associated with content items as well as weighted linkages between elements and respective properties. The system is a hybrid content based and collaborative filtering system, wherein the insertion of a new item into the database results in the new item sharing preference weights and number of preferences associated with items pre-existing in the database. Thus, an initial input query list of items potentially results in the return of many content, called a "dynamic playlist", has a high correlation with the user's preference or with whatever other basis was used to frame the input list, and individual content items on the dynamic playlist may not have been previously experienced by the user.

    • A method and system for generating an acoustic fingerprint of a digital audio signal is presented. A received digital audio signal is downsampled, based upon a predetermined frequency, and then subdivided into a beginning portion, a middle portion and an end portion. A plurality of beginning frames, a plurality of middle frames and a plurality of end frames, each having a predetermined number of samples, are extracted from the beginning, middle and end portions of the downsampled, digital audio signal, respectively. A plurality of frame vectors, each having a plurality of spectral residual bands and a plurality of time domain features, are generated from the plurality of beginning, middle and end frames, and an acoustic fingerprint of the digital audio signal is created based on the plurality of frame vectors. The acoustic fingerprint is then stored in a database.
