摘要： A bioactive clip is provided for closure of an aneurysm. The clip has a clip body with a pair of blades extending forward from a central pivot, and a reinforcing element extending back from the central pivot. The blades are parallel to each other in their closed orientation. The blades are opened by pinching together opposing sides of the reinforcing element. The clip body has at least one contact surface which comprises a bioactive element selected to promote closure of the aneurysm. Bioactive functionalities or agents in the clip could also be used to treat cerebral vasospasm or hydrocephalus. Various types of locking mechanisms are provided. The bioactive clip may also be biodegradable or bioresorbable.
