The system includes a fluid delivery tube, an occlusion detection sensor configured to be coupled to the fluid delivery tube and further configured to detect occlusion within the fluid delivery tube. The occlusion detection sensor is further configured to detect alteration of a shape of the occlusion detection portion when at least one condition occurs within the fluid delivery tube.

The device includes at least one housing connectable to a cannula, the at least one housing retaining a reservoir to hold the therapeutic fluid. The device also includes a mechanically powered pumping mechanism to cause delivery of at least some of the fluid from the reservoir, and a power-transfer mechanism to transfer manually-delivered power provided by a user to mechanically actuate the pumping mechanism.

摘要： Embodiments of the invention are directed to systems, methods and devices for sustained medical infusion with controlled rate injection of a liquid into a body. Such a system may include a first separate reusable unit, a second separate depletable unit, a third separate disposable unit having a cannula, and may include a firth separate remoter control unit. Emission of appropriate instructions from the fourth unit, when the first unit, the second unit, and the third unit are coupled together in associative operation and disposed on the skin, power is supplied to an engine for generating motion to a fluid transfer system, and when the cannula is inserted in the well and in the body, liquid is transferred from the reservoir to the body, via the tube and the cannula, under control of controller and transceiver.
