    • The invention relates to an installation and a process for generating electrical energy. The installation comprises a unit for discharging H2-laden gas (H2 unit A), a fuel cell system the anode chamber (8a) of which has an H2 supply line (2) from the H2 unit, a gas turbine (19), a combustion chamber (17) and a compressed air generating unit (10) coupled with, and driven by, the gas turbine (19). The invention is characterized essentially in that the H2 supply line (2) is the only fluid connection line between the H2 unit (A) on one side and the fuel cell system (B) and the compressed air generating unit (C) on the other. The compressed O2-laden gas is therefore used exclusively for supplying the cathode chamber of the fuel cells; if need be, some may be used directly for the production of the combustion gas for the compression drive.
