摘要： A method of transmitting and receiving a channel quality indicator (CQI) for a sleep-mode mobile station is disclosed. When data to be transmitted to the mobile station is present, the mobile station which is in a sleep mode is directed to transition to a normal mode and simultaneously a temporary CQI channel is allocated thereto. Thus the mobile station which has transitioned to the normal mode from the sleep mode efficiently transmits the CQI, and data applying a proper modulation and coding scheme can be transmitted.

摘要： A method for requesting an emergency service to a base station and a mobile station using the same are disclosed. During initial network entry, a mobile station may transmit an emergency message to a base station using an emergency Flow Identifier (FID), and receive from the base station information about resources allocated according to a default service flow parameter predefined for the emergency service by the base station. The mobile station may transmit to the base station a ranging request message including an emergency service indicator indicating an emergency service request, and receive from the base station a ranging response message including an emergency FID allocated by the BS as a response to the emergency service request. The emergency FID is the emergency FID received in the ranging response message. If the default service flow parameter is not predefined for the emergency service, the mobile station may establish an emergency service flow by a Dynamic Service Addition (DSA) transaction with the base station.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for requesting a base station of emergency call connection within the shortest time regardless of location or channel status of a mobile station in a mobile communication system. When the mobile station requests an uplink to connect emergency call, the base station establishes a communication path of mobile station-relay station-base station if signal quality of the mobile station is not better than signal quality transmitted through the relay station, whereby ranging or transmission of emergency data is prevented from being repeated under poor channel status, so as to enable a prompt emergency rescue service.

The subframe grouping information transmission method updates a grouping information field of a MAC message, which a serving base station periodically broadcasts to an MS, using subframe grouping information determined by a target base station, and periodically transmits the MAC message to the MS. It is advantageous in that service delay of the mobile station is minimized and resources are efficiently used as the mobile station requests relay through the relay station in accordance with the channel status.

The group scheduling method schedules allocation of resources to a plurality of mobile stations by dividing the plurality of mobile stations into at least one group. The group scheduling method includes enabling an index element in a group index corresponding to a group to which a mobile station (MS) scheduled to transmit data belongs and placing a group allocation information element including the group index at the beginning of a MAP. In this method, group scheduling information is transmitted to MSs using a group allocation IE to prevent the MSs from reading unnecessary information transmitted every frame, thereby reducing power consumption of the MSs.

The method of transmitting packets at a serving base station in case of a mobile station performing handover include, receiving a series of packets from an upper layer entity, and transmitting the series of packets one after the other to a target base station, wherein a packet of the series of packets includes an information field which represents whether the packet is the last transmitted packet. When the mobile station performs the I- RAT handover, the target serving station pre-reorders PDU packets, and transmits the reordered PDU packets to the mobile station, such that the mobile station can quickly transmit data without reordering the packets.
