    • The present invention provides a battery module, which comprises: (a) a battery cell stacked body, which has a plurality of battery cells or unit modules that are connected serially and/or in parallel, stacked together and standing sideways, and which has a busbar on the front surface for connecting the electrode terminals of battery cells to external input/output terminals; (b) voltage detection members, which are electrically connected to the electrode terminal connection portions of the battery cells that are respectively located on the front and the rear surfaces of the battery cell stacked body, and which have connection terminals on the end portion for detecting the voltage of the battery cells or the unit modules; (c) an upper portion case, which has a structure encasing one side of the end portion of the battery cell stacked body and partially encasing the upper and lower portions thereof, and which has a mounting portion for inserting and mounting the voltage detection members; and (d) a lower portion case, which has a structure encasing the other side of the end portion of the battery cell stacked body and partially encasing the upper and lower portions thereof, and which has external input/output terminals on the front surface.

    • The present invention is a member for sensing the voltage of battery cells having electrode devices formed together at one side of an upper end or a lower end thereof, and comprises: (a) a block case made of an electricity insulating material, and mounted on the front surface or the rear surface of a battery module in a horizontal direction in the space between electrode device connection parts of the battery cells; (b) wires each connected to voltage sensing devices formed integratingly at the upper end or the lower end of a bus bar connected electrically to the electrode device connection parts of the battery cells; and (c) a connector for sending to a control unit the detected voltage of the wires, wherein the block case comprises a coupling port protruding towards the direction of the front surface for stably fixing the wires, and the wires connect to the voltage sensing device of the bus bar while mounted on the coupling port of the block case.

    • The present invention provides a voltage detection assembly for a battery module, which comprises: (a) an upper portion block case and a lower portion block case, which are interconnected by assembly and are mounted on the battery module parts (the front surface or the rear surface of the battery module) that correspond to the electrode terminal connection portions of battery cells; (b) conductive sensing parts on an upper portion row and a lower portion row, which are inserted into the respective electrode terminal connection portions; and (c) a connector that transmits the voltage detected by the conductive sensing parts to a BMS, wherein the upper portion block case and the lower portion block case include mounting grooves having an open top structure that correspond to the respective electrode terminal connection portions, the conductive sensing parts on the upper portion row are mounted on the mounting grooves in the upper portion block case and inserted into the electrode terminals on the upper portion row, and the conductive sensing parts on the lower portion row are mounted on the mounting grooves in the lower portion block case and inserted into the electrode terminals on the lower portion row.

    • The present invention relates to a battery pack comprising a rechargeable/dischargeable battery cell or unit modules ('unit cells'). The battery pack comprises: a battery module group including one or more battery modules in which said unit cells are spaced apart from each other by a spacing for flow of a refrigerant and embedded within a pack case in the widthwise direction (transverse direction) of the battery pack such that the unit cells stand upright; refrigerant inlet units formed sequentially in the space between a lower surface of the pack case and battery modules; a refrigerant outlet unit formed in the space between an upper surface of the pack case and the battery module group; an electrical component located at one side surface of the battery module group and mounted in an internal space formed by the refrigerant outlet unit; and a refrigerant flow channel having a structure in that the refrigerant introduced through a refrigerant inlet port passes through each unit cell to cool the unit cells, and a portion of the refrigerant passed through the unit cells flows in a vortex flow to cool the electrical component and is discharged through a refrigerant outlet port.
