摘要： A cable type secondary battery of the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly including first and second polarity electrodes in which an electrode active material is coated on a surface of a current collector having a circular cross section, an elliptical cross section, or a polygonal cross section perpendicular to the longitudinal direction thereof and which are thin and long, and a separation layer or an electrolytic layer which is inserted between the first and second polarity electrodes; and a cover member which can cover the electrode assembly, wherein a first polarity terminal connected to the first polarity electrode and a second polarity terminal connected to the second polarity electrode are formed at a first end of the cable type secondary battery, a housing cap is formed to fix the first polarity terminal and the second polarity terminal and to cover the first end of the cable type secondary battery, and a second end of the cable type secondary battery has a connecting means capable of adjusting the length thereof.

摘要： The present invention relates to an electrolyte, comprising a composite of a plastic crystal matrix electrolyte doped with ionic salts and a cross-linked polymer structure. The present invention also relates to a method for preparing the electrolyte. The electrolyte uses plastic crystals to achieve superior ionic conductivity appropriate for a liquid electrolyte, and uses the cross-linked polymer structure to achieve mechanical strength appropriate for a solid electrolyte. In addition, the method for preparing the electrolyte according to the present invention does not necessarily require a solvent, thus simplifying preparation processes. The electrolyte of the present invention has both superior ionic conductivity and mechanical strength, and therefore is suitable for a cable-type battery which is easy to transform.

摘要： The present invention relates to a negative electrode for a lithium secondary battery including a wire-shaped collector and a porous, negative electrode active material layer surrounding and coating the surface of the collector, and to a lithium secondary battery including same. Since such a negative electrode includes an active material layer having a three-dimensional pore structure, the surface area thereof is large so that the mobility of lithium ions is improved and excellent battery performance is achieved. Additionally, the negative electrode of the present invention can prevent the deformation of a battery and obtain the stability thereof since the porous pore structure serves as a buffer for stress and pressure in a battery such as those arising from volume expansion during charging/discharging. Due to this property, the negative electrode of the present invention is suitable for a cable-type secondary battery.

摘要： A cable-type secondary battery of the present invention comprises: an electrode assembly body extended length-wise with a horizontal cross-section of a preset shape, and having an internal current collector, a cathode-active material layer, an electrolyte layer, and an anode-active material layer; and a wire-type external current collector coiled on the outer surface of the electrode assembly body. The external current collector has excellent flexibility and consistent level of elasticity, which raises the overall flexibility of the cable-type secondary battery, and prevents short-circuit and exfoliation of an active-material due to the deformation of the cable-type secondary battery.

摘要： The present invention relates to a cable type rechargeable battery, and more particularly the cable type rechargeable battery comprises: one or more cathodes having a horizontal cross section of a predetermined shape, extending in the length direction and having a first electrolyte layer constituting a pathway for ions formed on the outer surface; one or more anodes having a horizontal cross section of a predetermined shape, and extending in the length direction; a second electrolyte layer which constitutes a pathway for ions and envelops the anode(s) and the cathode(s) alike, which are equally disposed in parallel therein; and a protective covering which is disposed around the second electrolyte layer. The cable type rechargeable battery can freely change shape in that it has a linear structure while at the same time being flexible. Short circuiting (shorting) can be prevented by introducing an additional electrolyte layer into the electrode. The battery rating is high when a plurality of anodes and cathodes are provided, since the contact surface area is increased. Also, it is easy to adjust the electrode capacity balance by adjusting the number of anodes and cathodes.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a cathode which is coated with a solid electrolyte layer for a cable-type secondary battery, comprising the following steps: (S1) preparing a cathode active material solution; (S2) manufacturing the cathode by submerging into the cathode active material solution a core portion, which is a current collector which has a horizontal section of a predetermined shape and extends in the lengthwise direction; and (S3) forming an electrolyte layer on the surface of the cathode by passing the cathode through a solid electrolyte solution. The cathode has improved lithium-ion mobility by having a large surface area, resulting in superior battery performance, and can prevent deformation and secure safety by being able to buffer stress and pressure, such as volume expansion, inside the battery, when charging/discharging.

The cathode active material for the lithium secondary battery of the present invention includes a silicon and a silicon alloy made from at least two metals, each of the metals having no more than -23KJ/mol heat of mixing with the silicon. The cathode active material for the lithium secondary battery of the present invention has large volume and thus is useful for manufacturing a high-volume lithium secondary battery. Also, the cathode active material for the lithium secondary battery of the present invention has a very small silicon crystal phase, which results in little volume change of the cathode active material when charging/discharging, thereby providing superior cycling properties when applied to a battery.
