    • The device (1), according to the invention is arranged to enable a health-related coaching. The device (1) comprises a central processing unit (8) arranged to collect and to process signals from the monitoring means (2). The monitoring means (2) comprise' a sensor (4) arranged to provide a signal representative of a physiological condition of the individual being monitored to the central processing unit (8). The monitoring means (2) comprises a data preprocessing means (6) arranged to carry-out a preprocessing of the raw measureiinent signal. Preferably, the preprocessing means (6) is arranged to provide condensed, interpreted information to the data processing means. Still preferably, the preprocessing means are integrated with corresponding sensor (4). The central processor (8) comprises data processing means (8a) arranged for determining a reference health profile of said individual based on the measurement signal. In order to enable a regular update of the reference health profile the data processing means (8a) comprises a logical unit (8d) arranged to enable said update. The device (1) further comprises storage means, for example a memory unit, arranged for storing a plurality of health-related events (10a) in a database of a computer (10), said health-related events being described by a plurality of valid conditions (10b), stored in a look-up table. The data analysis means (8b) of the device (1) is arranged to analyze the reference health profile in order to determine an actual condition of the individual and to evaluate a likelihood of occurrence of the health-related events based on a comparison between the actual condition and the valid conditions (10b). The data analysis means (8b) is further arranged to actuate the informing means (8c) to produce a suitable message to the individual. The message is feedback to the individual by means of an user interface (12). In case of an acute medical emergency the device (1) is arranged to communicate to a remotely arranged unit (14) for enabling a suitable medical assistance.

    • The invention relates to a method for automatic customization of a service to a user by a remote host (32') by means of a telematic communication (40), said remote host comprising storage means (47) for storing a background information about the user, said method comprising the steps of initiating a trigger information (39) at a user's site upon an occurrence of an event corresponding to a need of the user, acquiring a context information (36) about the user at the user's site, combining the trigger information (39) with the context information (36) in a specific message, sending the specific message to the remote host by means of the telematic communication, receiving the specific message by the remote host, processing of said trigger information by the remote host in combination with the background information (47) according to a prestored user identification (45), processing said context information (43) by the remote host, putting forward a service offer to the user based on a combination of said trigger information (41), said background information (47) and said context information (43). A system (30) arranged to carry the method according to the invention comprises a user-site (32) connectable to a remote host (32') by means of a telecommunication line (40). The user-site comprises a home station (34) with a telephone module (38). An event that a user is in a need of a service, is notified by a trigger means (37) arranged to provide a first code (39) to the home station (34). The home station (34) uses the context gathering means (35) to obtain further information which is processed into a second code (36). The user-site (34) then uses the telematic protocol chosen to transmit the specific message over the network (40) to the remote host (32'). The remote host (32') uses information from the database (47) for decoding the first code (39) and the second code (36), as well as a prestored background information about the user, in order to offer the customized service.

    • A device to carry out a bioelectrical interaction with an individual by means of electrodes 29, 29a whereby an on-demand verification of the integrity of the electrical contact of the electrodes is implemented. The device 20 comprises a control unit 22 arranged to determine an occurrence of the predefined event related to a quality of a measured signal. In case the predetermined event is detected, the control unit 22 actuates the testing means 24. The testing means is arranged to generate the test signals, I1,12 and to apply them via a coupling circuit 23, 23a to the electrodes. In case it is desired that cumulative information about the contact integrity is obtained, is it sufficient to apply a single test signal per electrode. In case it is required to determine which of the electrodes has lost its contact, a sequence of test signals is generated by the sequencer 24b. The response signal from the electrodes 29, 29a is forwarded to the input filter 26, which is preferably also used for a normal signal analysis. The signal from the input filter 26 is directed via the input impedance 25, 25a to the input amplifier 28. The amplified response signal is forwarded to the signal processing means 30 which is arranged to analyze the response signal. Preferably, an amplitude analysis is done.     • The invention relates to a portable electronic device, like a shaver, a toothbrush, a walkman, a telephony unit, etc., said device being arranged to measure a signal representative of a physiological condition of a user during a conventional usage of said device. In an embodiment of the electric shaver (25), it is provided with a first contact surface (26) comprising a plurality of shaving heads (26a, 26b, 26c). The shaving heads are manufactured from an electrically conducting material, usually a metal and are suited to provide a good electrical contact to the individual's skin during shaving, thus constituting a first electrode. The second contact surface (28') is provided on the housing of the shaver, in particular on a grip portion (28) thereof, where a contact to a hand of the individual is enabled. The second contact surface (28') comprises a second electrode (29). Additionally, the second contact surface (28') can comprise a further sensor (29') arranged to provide additional data on the physiological condition of the user. The signal measured from the electrodes is supplied to the input of the amplifier (30), which is preferably a differential amplifier. The signal from the differential amplifier (30) is then supplied to a band-pass filter (32), which is preferably set for the range of 0,02 Hz to 100 Hz. The limited amplified biosignal (33) is then forwarded to the analogue-to-digital converter (34). The digitized signal is then analyzed by the analysis means (35), the results of the analysis, comprising the deduced health-related parameter is being displayed on a display (36) of the electric shaver. Additionally the health-related parameter and/or the raw data are transmitted to a remotely arranged unit by a built-in transmission means (38). Preferably, the transmission means (38) comprises a wire-less transmitter.
