    • The present invention relates to a polyester fiber for use in airbag fabric, and more particularly, to a polyester fiber, to a method for manufacturing same, and to airbag fabric manufactured from the polyester fiber, wherein the polyester fiber is characterized in that the content of one or more organic fillers selected from a group consisting of TiO2, SiO2 and BaSO4 is 200 ppm or lower, elongation at break is 15% or higher, dry heat shrinkage is 3% or higher, and the sum of the elongation at break and dry heat shrinkage is 20% or higher. The polyester fiber of the present invention has significantly low stiffness and superior mechanical properties to ensure the physical properties of high strength, high elongation, and high shrinkage. Thus, the polyester fiber of the present invention, when used for airbag fabric, may significantly lower stiffness, improve toughness, tear strength, edge comb resistance, etc., provide air seal performance, be easily embedded in a vehicle, provide shape stability and air sealing effects, and minimize the shocks applied to a seat occupant in order to safely protect the seat occupant.

    • The present invention relates to a polyester yarn usable in an air bag fabric, and more specifically, to a method for manufacturing a polyester yarn, an air bag yarn manufactured therefrom, and an air bag fabric including the same, wherein the method comprises the steps of: mixing a specific dicarboxylic acid composition and glycol in a predetermined range, and performing an ester reaction; performing a polycondensation reaction for an oligomer created by said ester reaction; performing solid state polymerization for a polymer created by said polycondensation reaction; and performing melt spinning for a polyester chip created by said solid state polymerization, and performing stretching. The polyester yarn manufactured by the present invention has low modulus, high strength, and further, high contraction. In addition, the polyester yarn of the present invention obtains an excellent mechanical property with remarkably low stiffness, thereby providing a superior storage effect, shape stabilization, and an air blocking effect when used for an air bag fabric.

    • The present invention relates to a high-strength, high-extension polyester fiber to be used for anchoring, mooring, or towing a ship, and more particularly, to a polyester fiber having an elastic recovery percentage of 70% or higher at 10% deformation at the maximum load measured at room temperature, an elastic recovery percentage of 50% or higher at 20% deformation at the maximum load, and an elastic recovery percentage of 40% or higher at 30% deformation at the maximum load. The present invention also relates to a method for producing the polyester fiber and to a polyester fiber rope comprising same. The polyester fiber of the present invention comprises a filament having high strength, high extension and a high recovered-work ratio, and thus has high strength and extension properties and ensures superior mechanical properties. Therefore, the polyester fiber of the present invention may be produced into a fiber rope which can minimize yarn cutting and significantly improve shock-absorbing performance in various external conditions such as raging waves and severe ship rolling, and which has a long lifespan and ensures a high level of safety.
