    • Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to methods, systems and devices for implanting a spatially bent and/or twisted implant in a patient. In some embodiments, such a method includes providing a mono-filament implant configured to assume an undeployed, substantially linear or linear-like state and a spatially bent and/or twisted deployed state, with the implant having a proximal and a distal end. In the undeployed state, the implant includes a shape which corresponds to that of a lumen of a hollow needle which may be used to deliver the implant. The method may also include creating a puncture in a vessel of the patient and positioning said distal end of the needle (and thus, the implant) in the vessel through the puncture. The method may further include converting the implant from the undeployed state to the deployed state such that the proximal end of the implant is proximate said puncture.
