    • The present invention relates to a coordinated beamforming method, and in particular, to a limited information exchanging method for mitigating inter-cell interference. To this end, the invention proposes a first serving network node serving a first receiving network node in a first cell of a mobile network, i.e. a multi-cell system. The first serving network node is configured to obtain, from the first receiving network node, a first statistical channel information of a channel from a second serving network node in the mobile network; exchange with the first receiving network node indicator information identifying the first statistical channel information; and provide the first statistical channel information to the second serving network node. Accordingly, the first receiving network node is configured to provide, to the first serving network node, a first statistical channel information of a channel from the second serving network node in the mobile network; and exchange with the first serving network node indicator information identifying the first statistical channel information. Thereby, limited/minimal channel information is exchanged among entities in the multi-cell system, which allows the BS to perform interference-aware precoding/beamforming. Based on the obtained information, precoding/beamforming is performed at each BS in a way that inter-cell interference is mitigated by steering the precoding/beamforming vectors in the adjacent/interfering cell accordingly.

    • The present invention refers to a method for obtaining uplink calibration values in a terminal of a wireless communication system in order to enable a Base Station, BS, having a number of antennas to determine a respective hardware chain value for each antenna of the number of antennas, said method comprising the steps of calculating 1, by the terminal, an uplink calibration value for each antenna on the basis of a downlink channel estimate value for each antenna and a normalization value obtained from said downlink channel estimate values, and sending transmitting 2, by the terminal, the calculated uplink calibration value for each antenna to the BS. The invention further refers to a corresponding terminal 10 for a wireless communication system, adapted to obtain uplink calibration values. The present invention further refers to a corresponding calibration method for determining hardware chain values in a base station 20, as well as the corresponding base station 20 itself.

    • The present invention provides a base station (BS) 100 for allocating pilot sequences to at least one user equipment (UE) 101. The BS 100 is configured to select, based on channel statistics of the at least one UE 101, a number of pilot sequences from a set 102 of pilot sequences available to the BS 100 and the at least one UE 101. Then, the BS 100 is configured to transmit an index 103 of each selected pilot sequence to the at least one UE 101. The present invention provides also a UE 101, which is correspondingly configured to receive, from the BS 100, a number of indices 103 corresponding to pilot sequences from the set 102 of pilot sequences available to the UE 101 and the BS 100. Further, the UE 101 is configured to select the pilot sequences from the set 102 of pilot sequences, which correspond to the received indices 103, and perform channel estimation based on the selected pilot sequences.
