摘要： Fluoroolefin/acid group or protected acid group-containing copolymers for photoresist compositions and microlithography methods employing the photoresist compositions are described. These copolymer compositions comprise 1) at least one fluoroolefin, preferably hexafluoroisobutylene, and 2) an acid group or a protected acid group (e.g., a t-alkyl ester, preferably a t-butyl ester), which together impart high ultraviolet (UV) transparency and developability in basic media to these materials. The materials of this invention have high UV transparency, particularly at short wavelengths, e.g., 157 nm and 193 nm, which makes them useful for lithography at these short wavelengths.

摘要： This invention relates to solid polymer electrolyte materials for use in one or more electrode of a fuel cell. The solid polymer electrolyte materials comprise one or more ionomer which comprises polymerized units of monomers A and monomers B, wherein monomers A are perfluoro dioxole or perfluoro dioxolane monomers, and the monomers B are functionalized perfluoro olefins having fluoroalkyl sulfonyl, fluoroalkyl sulfonate or fluoroalkyl sulfonic acid pendant groups, CF2=CF(O)[CF2]nSO2X. The ionomer of the solid polymer electrolyte material has a number average molecular weight, Mn, of greater than 140,000. Specifically, the ionomers of the invention may find use in the catalyst layer of an electrode because the high molecular weight ionomers mitigate the formation of cracks in the catalyst layer.

The polymer so formed is crosslinkable and useful for the preparation of shaped articles and photo-imaged coatings. The novel fluoropolymer can be thermally treated to form crosslinked fluoropolymers with highly stable perfluoroalkylene crosslinks. The novel fluoropolymer is conveniently prepared by treating a cyano-functionalized fluoropolymer with Cl-F.

摘要： This invention concerns a process for increasing the molecular weight and viscosity of polyamides and other condensation polymers, by first injecting an inert gas into the polymer melt at elevated pressure, then stripping the volatiles from the polymer through the application of reduced pressure, followed by holding the polymer at elevated temperatures long enough for the reaction to occur. Activators may be added to the polymer. Port areas used in the stripping zone, may be kept hot for continuous operation.

摘要： Disclosed herein are novel amorphous tetrafluoroethylene-hexafluoropropylene (TFE-HFP) dipolymers, and other copolymers containing TFE, HFP and a third monomer, many of which are more random than previous amorphous TFE-HFP copolymers, as well as a novel high productivity continuous process for making these polymers. The polymers are particularly useful in the form of coatings, films and encapsulants.
