摘要： An aerosolization system includes a squeezable container having a resilient container body. The container is configured to deliver a unit dosage of a liquid when squeezed a single time. The system also includes an aerosolizer that is constructed of a housing defining a mouthpiece, and an aerosol generator disposed in the housing. The aerosol generator comprises a vibratable membrane having a front face and a rear face, and a vibratable element used to vibrate the membrane. Further, the housing includes an opening that is adapted to receive a unit dosage of the liquid from the container. The opening provides a liquid path to the rear face of the vibratable membrane.

摘要： Systems, devices and methods are provided, for acquiring and dispensing predetermined volumes of liquids and, in particular, to a unique piezoelectric dispenser for acquiring and dispensing of small volumes of fluid in an automatic or manual production of DNA arrays and assays, wherein droplets are dispensed in a single drop format with volumes that may range from about a few picoliters to several nanoliters. The dispenser can advantageously utilize a disposable capillary tube assembly while desirably retaining the piezoelectric actuator for subsequent further uses, thereby mitigating the possibility of cross contamination of fluids and providing an economical and cost effective approach with reuse of the piezoelectric actuator for further operation such as with a variety of liquids to be dispensed and transferred. A unique longitudinal transducer can transmit radial tube displacement into controlled axial motion of the tube.

摘要： A hand-held dispensing device operable to dispense a fluid as an atomized spray by hydraulic pressure. The device includes a cartridge containing a fluid to be dispensed and a pressure-multiplying piston pump operable by liquefied gas pressure and manually controlled by a valve. The pump is configured to receive pressure from a compartment containing liquefied gas and transmit higher pressure to the fluid to be dispensed. The pressure multiplying pump produces high pressure, typically between 6-30bar, which is suitable for generation of fine spray by hydraulic atomization. The device uses about 1/10 th the amount of liquefied gas compared to a propellant-based aerosol therefore it has a significant ecological and health benefits.

摘要： The present invention is directed to method and system for delivery of brain-targeted drugs to the cerebrospinal fluid via the perilymphatic fluid of the inner ear. The system utilizes the passage of cochlear aqueduct as a drug delivery route from the inner ear to the subarachnoid space of the brain. The delivery system includes an otological conduit which enables transfer of drugs from the auditory ear canal to the inner ear and a wearable dispenser for supplying drugs to the otological conduit. The drug composition comprises a suspension of solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN) which facilitate delivery through the cochlear aqueduct. 摘要： An air freshening device comprises a housing defining a chamber. The chamber contains air and a supply of fragrance material that scents the air inside the chamber. A mechanical oscillator is in fluid communication with the air in the chamber and is configured to transmit acoustic waves in the chamber. A narrow conduit provides a passage from an interior of the chamber to the atmosphere outside the chamber. The conduit is dimensionally configured such that a synthetic jet from the narrow conduit is generated upon activation of the mechanical oscillator, the synthetic jet ejecting scented air from the chamber interior to the atmosphere outside the chamber. The mechanical oscillator may be driven intermittently, resulting in a consistent intensity and character of the emitted scent over the life of the product.
