摘要： An ultrasound needle guide system for use with an ultrasound transducer and method of use of the guide system to provide predictable trajectories for puncture devices at various depths. The needle guide system basically consists of a bracket and a needle guide. The bracket is arranged to be releasably secured to the ultrasound transducer. The transducer/bracket assembly is then placed into an isolating sterile cover. The needle guide is arranged to be readily attached, e.g., snap-fit, to the transducer/bracket with the cover interposed therebetween. The needle guide can be provided in various versions for differing puncture device sizes and various entry angles in relation to the transducer. In one embodiment the needle guide is arranged to establish plural predetermined entry angles.

摘要： A patient transfer system (20) including a patient support panel (22), a first base member (24) mounted on a first support structure (12), e.g., a gurney, and a second base member (26) mounted on a second support structure (14), e.g., a patient treatment table. The patient support panel has a pair of longitudinally extending side rails (22A). Each base member has at least one clamp arranged to engage a rail of the patient support panel to hold it in place thereon. The clamps are releasable to enable the patient support panel to be slid off of one base member and onto the other base member. If the support structures are spaced apart at least one bridging member (28A, 28B,28C) is provided to bridge the gap therebetween and allow the patient support member to be slid thereacross.

摘要： A system for positioning a patient on a treatment couchtop for SBRT is provided. The system includes a patient support panel and at least one positioning/fixation component for releasable mounting on the patient support panel at a desired position to immobilize a portion of the patient's body. The patient support panel includes a pair of longitudinally extending side rails having a series of longitudinally spaced indexing apertures for receipt of a locking bar for mounting a positioning/fixation component thereon at a discrete index position. The at least one positioning component includes a pair of clamping mechanisms for releasably securing that component to the side rails at any longitudinal position along the side rails.

摘要： A guide for elongate medical instruments includes a pair of cooperating members movable with respect to each other, each member having a receiving channel configured and dimensioned to receive one of said elongate medical instruments, wherein the receiving channels are parallel to one another. 摘要： The present invention relates to a catheter that includes an elongate body having distal and proximal ends, the elongate body having at least one lumen therethrough, a distal portion of the elongate body having a perimeter. First and second retention members of the catheter are first and second retention members selectively disposed in either an insertion state or a retention state. 摘要： An eye drop applicator system includes a barrel-shaped body, a stem, and a fluid directing portion. The stem is adapted to retain a fluid reservoir for providing eye drop fluid. A method for administering eye drops to an eye includes demountably coupling a fluid reservoir to a fluid directing portion associated with a barrel-shaped body so that a tip of the fluid reservoir communicates with a conduit in the fluid directing portion; rotating the barrel-shaped body against a lower eyelid to retract the eyelid and expose a cul-de-sac of the eye; and transmitting fluid from the fluid reservoir to the cul-de-sac through an opening in the fluid directing portion.

摘要： ABSTRACT The present invention provides a system and method for irrigating and collecting tissue from a body cavity in a patient. The system includes an irrigation and collection device for injecting an irrigation fluid into the body cavity. The irrigation device injects fluid into the body cavity by creating a positive pressure within the device to expel the irrigation fluid from the device into the body cavity. The irrigation fluid is evacuated from the body cavity by the resulting negative pressure within the device, drawing the irrigation fluid and any loose tissue or particulate material into the device. The irrigation fluid is filtered, collecting the evacuated tissue and particulate material in a collection receptacle thereby isolating the evacuated tissue and particulate material within the irrigation fluid.
