摘要： An electrically variable drive unit having two electric motors is provided. The first electric motor (EMA) is mounted along the same axis as an engine (1). The second electric motor (EMB) is mounted along the same axis as a transmission output (3), the drive unit further comprising: an input planetary gear set (20) having: an input carrier (24) coupled to said transmission input shaft (2), an input sun gear (21) coupled to said first electric motor, and an input ring gear coupled to an output chain (60) driver gear (61); an electric motor planetary gear set (30) having: an electric motor carrier (34) coupled to an output chain driven gear (62), an electric motor sun gear (31) and an electric motor ring gear (33) coupled to a transmission housing; and an output planetary gear set (40) having: an output sun gear (41) coupled to said output chain driven gear and said electric motor carrier (34); an output carrier (44) coupled to said output shaft and an output ring gear (43) coupled to the housing.

摘要： A compound-input is provided for an electrically variable transmission for a motor vehicle. The compound-input electrically variable transmission has improved input gear ratios that allow the vehicle engine to be operated in its desired efficiency and/or performance range during both city and highway vehicle operation. Further, the multi-speed input electrically variable transmission provides an input brake without the need for a dedicated input brake clutch or braking mechanism and incorporates a reverse gear for reverse operation.

摘要： Described are a system and a method for optical tracking of assets. The system includes a sensor having a plurality of pixels. Each pixel is adapted to produce an electrical signal responsive to an incident optical data signal emitted by an optical tag attached to an asset. The system also includes a sensor processor in communication with the sensor and configured to generate an electrical data signal based on optical data signals incident on the pixels. The sensor processor also generates asset data in response to the electrical data signals from the pixels. The sensor and sensor processor can be implemented as an optical communications imager in which each pixel generates a communication data signal based on incident light. Alternatively, the sensor can include a digital video camera or an analog video camera for lower bandwidth communications.

摘要： Described are a method and optical communications processor for receiving communications data in an image formed on a plurality of pixels. The method includes receiving active pixel information identifying which of the pixels are receiving communications data and retrieving communications data from each of the pixels identified by the active pixel information. A list of active data communication channels is generated in response to the active pixel information. The active pixel information can be in the form of active pixel flag bits. Optionally, the method also includes receiving video data from the pixels.
