    • The present invention relates to a method of preventing bacterial growth in a beverage dispensing system. The beverage dispensing system comprises a tapping (30) line which is connected at its first end to a tapping cock and has at its opposite second end a tapping line connector (16). The tapping line connector has a tapping valve actuator (18) and defines a first connector surface (32). The method comprises providing a beverage container (12) filled with preferably a carbonated beverage. The beverage container has a container connector (14) defining a second connector surface (38) and an initially sealed container opening. The second connector surface is covered with a bacteriostatic agent (40). The container connector is connectable to the tapping line connector by contacting the first and second connector surfaces with one another and in doing so transferring a part of the bacteriostatic agent from the second connector surface to the first connector surface.

    • A beverage sterilisation device comprises a housing defining an inner space, and having a first and a second end. An electrically insulated fluid path-defining conduit extends through the inner space from the first end to the second end. A first electrode has a first part positioned adjacent to the fluid path and a second part extending perpendicular to the first part. A first counter electrode defines together with the first electrode a first capacitor, and a second electrode having a third part and a fourth part. The third part is positioned adjacent to the fluid path, and the fourth part extends substantially perpendicular to the third part. A second counter electrode defines together with the second electrode a second capacitor. The first counter electrode and the second counter electrode are short-circuited by an electrical connection, and a conductive device is electrically connected between the first electrode and the second electrode. A first trigger point is defined at the second part and remote from the first part, and a second trigger point is defined at the first counter electrode opposite to the first trigger point. The device further comprises an electrical activation circuit for short-circuiting the pair of trigger points and for causing an electric field to propagate from the first trigger point and along the fluid path.

The module further comprises a first type connector and a second type connector positioned at the outer periphery. A fluid path establishes fluid communication from the first type connector to the second type connector. The first type connector is connectable to a connector of the second type connector, and the first type connector is adapted to receive a pressure-fluid from a pressure-fluid source. The second type connector is adapted to transfer the pressure-fluid to a first type connector of a neighbouring module. The module still further comprises a third type connector in fluid communication with the first type connector and supplying the pressure-fluid to the pressure chamber.

The constant flow rate controller has a first position defining a maximum effective flow area between the inlet and the outlet and a second position defining a minimum effective flow area between the inlet and the outlet. The constant flow rate controller shifts gradually during dispensing beverage towards the second position with an increasing pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet and towards the first position with a decreasing pressure difference between the inlet and the outlet.
