    • A system (30) for monitoring the performance of beverage preparation equipment includes a device, such as a data collector (52), for monitoring the use of the equipment. Information regarding one or more inputs to the equipment is provided to the data collector (52), which uses the information to monitor the performance of the equipment.     • A system and method for monitoring and billing beverage preparation equipment and product, see figure 1. The system includes a controller (42) for monitoring the use of beverage preparation equipment. The beverage preparation equipment includes a dilution source (32) and a product source (34) connected to the controller to controllably dispense the product component and the dilution component to mix (36) the components to produce the resultant combination (38).
