More particularly, disclosed herein are vaso-occlusive devices comprising at least one polymer structure and methods of making and using these devices. The device comprises a core element attached to a detachment junction at the distal end of a pusher wire and at least one polymer structure surrounding a substantial portion of the core element. The polymeric structure is attached to the distal end of the core element and to the detachment junction.

摘要： An implant assembly comprises an elongated pusher member, and an implantable device (e.g., a vaso-occlusive device) mounted to the distal end of the pusher member. The implant assembly further comprises an electrolytically severable joint disposed on the pusher member, wherein the implantable device detaches from the pusher member when the severable joint is severed, and a return electrode carried by the distal end of the pusher member (e.g., a coil disposed about the pusher member) in proximity to, but electrically isolated from, the severable joint. The implant assembly further comprises a terminal carried by the proximal end of the pusher member in electrical communication with the severable joint.

摘要： A device (10) for delivering an occlusive element such as a vaso-occiusive coil (12) includes an elongate sheath (30). An elongate releasing member (40) having a distal tip or end (42) is moveable within a lumen (35) of the elongate sheath. A filament (64) is provided having first {66) and second (68) ends with each end being fixed relative to the elongate sheath to form a loop segment (70). The loop segment of the filament is passed through a securing member (20) located on the proximal end (18) of the occlusive element. The distal tip of the elongate releasing member is inserted into the portion of the loop segment that passes through the securing member to lock the occlusive element relative to the elongate ' sheath. The occlusive element is released by- pulling the elongate releasing member proximally to retract the distal tip from the loop' segment of the filament.

摘要： A device for delivering an occlusive element includes an elongate pusher member having a lumen extending between distal and proximal ends. An elongate releasing member is slideably disposed within the lumen of the elongate pusher member. A retaining member is disposed on the distal end of the elongate pusher member and includes a finger portion having an aperture sized to receive the distal end of the elongate releasing member. An occlusive element such as a coil is provided and includes a securing member positioned at a proximal end thereof. The securing member is releaseably secured to the finger portion of the retaining member. The securing member is secured to the finger portion when the elongate releasing member is disposed in the aperture of the finger portion and unsecured when the elongate releasing member is retracted proximally from the aperture of the finger portion.

摘要： A device for delivering an occlusive element includes an elongate pusher member having a lumen. A locking member is disposed within the lumen of the elongate pusher member. A moveable elongate releasing member is disposed within the lumen of the elongate pusher member. A filament is secured to the distal end of the elongate releasing member. The occlusive member is locked to the elongate releasing member when the filament passes through a securing member on the occlusive member and is pinched or wedged between the locking member and the elongate releasing member. The occlusive element is in an unlocked state when the elongate releasing member is retracted proximally relative to the elongate pusher member. The filament, along with the elongate releasing member, are retracted proximally until the filament is detached or uncoupled from the securing member of the occlusive member.

摘要： A device and a method for increasing or restoring a flow in a body lumen are provided. The device and the method may treat conditions like a stroke by removing a clot from a blood vessel and/or reopen the vessel. The device may have an expandable compartment comprising a reconfigurable element and a supportive element. The supportive element can adjust a radial force and a configuration of the reconfigurable element, thereby allowing efficient removal of a clot from a blood vessel and/or reopen the vessel with least or no damage to the vessel. Alternatively, the device may have an engaging compartment comprising a distal engaging element and a proximal engaging element. A clot in a blood vessel may be engaged in and/or between the distal and proximal engaging elements. The positions of one or both of the engaging elements and the distance therebetween can be adjusted to ensure the engagement of the clot or occlusion.

摘要： Devices for loading a collapsible implant onto a delivery catheter. In one aspect, a loading device comprises an outer tubular structure and an inner tubular structure. The outer tubular structure comprises a narrowing passage configured to receive a catheter at one end and a collapsible implant at another end. The inner tubular structure is configured to move slidably and co-axially within the outer tubular structure. The inner tubular structure comprises a carrier pin configured to move within the narrowing passage as the inner tubular structure slides into the outer tubular structure. The sliding of the inner tubular structure into the outer tubular structure causes an implant mounted on the carrier pin to collapse as the implant moves through the narrowing passage and into the distal end of a catheter. In an optional aspect, the outer tubular structure further comprises a grasper to stabilize the catheter for receipt of the collapsible implant, and the internal diameter of the inner tubular structure varies to cause the grasper to first contract and stabilize the catheter, and then expand and release the catheter, as the grasper moves into the inner tubular structure.
