摘要： The present invention provides a topical oxygen therapy system for treating chronic non-healing wounds. The system is configured to be extremely portable, allowing patients to be completely ambulatory during treatment. The topical oxygen therapy system includes an oxygen source and a wound dressing capsule. The oxygen source includes a miniature compressed oxygen cylinder and a miniature pressure regulator that delivers oxygen through an outlet tube to the interior of the wound dressing capsule. The oxygen source may be attached directly to or integrated into the wound dressing capsule. Alternatively, the oxygen source and wound dressing capsule may be separate modules connected by a flexible tube.

摘要： Apparatus and methods for endoscopic colectomy are described herein. A colectomy device having a first and a second tissue approximation device is mounted on a colonoscope separated from one another. During deployment of the colectomy device, a diseased portion of the colon is positioned inbetween the tissue approximation devices. The tissue approximation devices are radially expanded such that they contact and grasp the colon wall at two sites adjacent to the diseased portion of the colon. The diseased portion is separated from the omentum and is transected using a laparoscope or is drawn into the colonoscope for later removal. The tissue approximation devices are then urged towards one another over the colonoscope to approximate the two free edges of the colon into contact together where they are fastened to one another using the tissue approximation device as a surgical stapler to create an end-to-end anastomosis.

摘要： A vessel access and closure device places a running suture in the wall of a blood vessel using a rotating helical suture needle that carries the suture along a helical path passing through the vessel wall, then reverses rotation to release a suture anchor attached to the distal end of the suture. A loose helical coil of suture is left behind as the helical suture needle withdraws. The device is withdrawn and replaced with a vessel dilator and an introducer sheath that opens up a larger access opening into the blood vessel and creates a pathway that passes though the helical coil of suture for introducing an interventional device into the blood vessel. After the interventional procedure is completed, the interventional device and the introducer sheath are withdrawn and the running suture is tightened and secured with a suture lock to close the access opening into the vessel.
