    • A method for the manufacture of a composite body from a first and a second component entails that the two components are each injected into mould cavities (11, 12, 13). The first component is permitted to set so that the second mould cavity (12, 13) is partly defined by the first, set component, before the second component is injected. Before the second component is injected, the temperature of the first component has been measured and transmitted to a control system for controlling the injection of the second component. Thereafter, the second component is permitted to set, and the composite body is removed from the mould. An apparatus for manufacturing a composite body from metal and plastic comprises a die casting machine (1) with a tool (5, 6) and a control system for controlling a work cycle. Further, the apparatus includes an injection device (16) for the injection of plastic into the tool (5, 6), the injection device (16) being controlled by the control system.
