    • The present invention relates to an ECB-LCD device comprising: a liquid crystal panel including a liquid crystal cell having a first substrate, a second substrate, and a liquid crystal which is interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate and which has a positive dielectric anisotropy, wherein the liquid crystal cell has a cell gap of 1 to 5 ìm and is driven in an ECB mode; a first polarizing element which is placed on the first substrate, and which has a first absorbing axis; a second polarizing element which is placed beneath the second substrate, and which has a second absorbing axis; a first liquid crystal film interposed between the first substrate and the first polarizing element; and a second liquid crystal film interposed between the second substrate and the second polarizing element. The first liquid crystal film includes a first base, and a first liquid crystal layer which is formed by splay-aligning nematic liquid crystals on one side of the first base such that a maximum tilt angle from an in-plane direction to a thickness direction is 20° to 90°. The second liquid crystal film includes a second base, and a second liquid crystal layer formed by horizontally aligning nematic liquid crystals on one side of the second base.

    • Disclosed are a thermoplastic composite panel and an apparatus and method for molding same. According to the present invention, the apparatus for molding a thermoplastic composite panel comprises: an extruder for melting a resin composition and mixing the molten resin; a pair of forming rollers having protrusions and grooves for embossing a reinforcing sheet for reinforcing a resin; a mixer having a mixing space in which the molten resin prepared in the extruder and the reinforcing sheet embossed by the pair of forming rollers are accommodated together, and having an outlet port for discharging, from the mixing space, a semi-finished mold in which the embossed reinforcing sheet is inserted in the molten resin; and a reinforcing sheet feeder for feeding the reinforcing sheet to the gap between the pair of forming rollers. According to the present invention, a composite panel, comprising a reinforcing sheet having embossments of various shapes inserted into a resin layer, can be produced in an easy and convenient manner.

    • Disclosed are an apparatus and method for molding a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite material, and a mold produced by same. According to the present invention, the apparatus for molding a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite material comprises: an extruder having a housing with a melting space and an outlet port; a cutting apparatus arranged next to the extruder to cut the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite material prepared in the melting space and continuously discharged through the outlet port; a heating apparatus arranged next to the cutting apparatus to heat the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite material cut by the cutting apparatus; and a shaping apparatus arranged next to the heating apparatus to form the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite material heated by the heating apparatus into a predetermined shape. According to the present invention, damage to the reinforcing fibers can be minimized to achieve maximized effects of reinforcing physical properties, and processes for producing molds are continuously performed to achieve improved efficiency in producing molds from fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite materials.

According to the present invention, the apparatus for molding a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite material comprises a plurality of wind-up reels on which a plurality of tape-type fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite materials are wound; transporting means for drawing the plurality of fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite materials wound on the wind-up reels so as to unwind the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite materials from the wind-up reels; and twisting means for twisting at least one of the plurality of fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite materials being transported by the transporting means to twist and tie up the plurality of fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite materials. According to the present invention, tape-type fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite materials are twisted in various ways to thus improve the arrangement of reinforcing fibers in the fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composite materials, thereby achieving maximized effects of reinforcing physical properties by means of reinforcing fibers.
