摘要： A system and method for optimizing spectrum access in data communications is disclosed. The system comprises a case module, a selection engine, an evaluation module and an update module. The case module determines a present case based at least in part on sensor data and environmental data, determines a matching case for the present case and configures one or more channel profiles for the present case based at least in part on the matching case. The selection engine selects a first channel based on the one or more channel profiles. The first channel is associated with a first channel profile from the one or more channel profiles. The evaluation module evaluates a first channel performance for the first channel and generates a first channel reward for the first channel. The update module updates the first channel profile based at least in part on the first channel reward.

In one embodiment, the method comprises measuring a roundtrip time between a first node and a second node, and utilizing the measured roundtrip time to select the size of the local peer group network from a lookup table. 摘要： A simulator for inter-vehicle radio communication includes terrain and building data and can simulate the effects of buildings in terrain on radio propagation. The simulator also models other vehicles and the shadow effects of their presence. The system comprises a simulation engine, a network simulator, a driving simulator, a database and a user interface module adapted for communication. The simulation engine simulates the propagation of communication signals between vehicles including the effects of shadowing, and also receives data from the network simulator, the driving simulator and database to generate the propagation simulation. The simulation engine outputs the results of the propagation simulation to the user interface module which translates the information into various displays. The present invention is particularly advantageous because it provides a variety of different user interfaces to show the effective range/propagation of communication signals for different conditions including vehicle locations, terrain, vehicle movements, data traffic and networks configuration.

摘要： A multiple hop communications method is among a plurality of moving vehicles. Each moving vehicles has a plurality of unidirectional radio. The method comprises receiving an incoming packet at one of the plurality of unidirectional radios, determining if there is an active link between each of the plurality of unidirectional radios and an unidirectional radio of a neighbor vehicle, relaying the incoming packet to the plurality of unidirectional radios having an active link and transmitting the incoming packet as an outgoing packet from at least one of the plurality of unidirectional radios. If more than one packet is received, the packets can be encoded using group coding before send the packets out as an outgoing packet.

摘要： A method for transmitting data in vehicular network comprising determining a communication window between at least two nodes, grouping a plurality of fragments of content together into an aggregate fragment block, forwarding the aggregate fragment block to a target node and assembling the plurality of fragments into the content. The content is divided into the plurality of fragments. A fragment signature is generated for the fragments that contain fragment index information regarding each fragment. Each fragment is unambiguously identified by its signature. A number of fragments grouped into the aggregate fragment block is dependent on the communication window.

摘要： The present invention offers systems and methods for effective multiple-hop routing, multicasting and media access control for vehicle group communications that employ directional wireless radio technology. Multi-beam optic-wireless media and streamlined operations provide low-overhead communications among vehicles. Systems and methods are provided to maintain a quasi-stationary group of neighboring vehicles, enable high- throughput on-demand switching among multiple vehicles, enable group coding in the vehicle group to achieve higher throughput, and enable dynamic adjustment of link to maintain desirable vehicle group. The proposed solution builds upon the conception of a MAC-free wireless operation and quasi -stationary vehicular switched network to achieve ultra-low-overhead and high-throughput vehicle communications.
