    • An air sprung wheel axle suspension comprises a carrying bracket, a trailing arm with a front end that is pivotally attached to the carrying bracket by a pivot bolt, and an air spring attached to the vehicle chassis and supporting a rear end of the trailing arm. The suspension furthermore comprises an axle lift including a lever pivotally suspended from the carrying bracket. The lever has a first lever portion and a second lever portion. The suspension including furthermore an actuator attached to an actuator support. The actuator operatively engages the first lever portion at a first engagement point defining a first lever arm relative to the pivot axis. The trailing arm operatively engages the second lever portion at a second engagement point defining a second lever arm relative to the pivot axis. The lever is provided with a hanger element having an eyelet with which the lever is pivotally suspended from only one lateral plate of the carrying bracket such that said pivot axis and said bolt axis coincide. The first and second lever portion are aligned such that the first engagement point and the second engagement point, seen from above, are located on a straight line that diagonally crosses the pivot axis. The actuator has a centre axis that intersects the longitudinal centre axis of the first lever portion.

    • A wheel axle suspension of a vehicle comprises an axle body and a flexible trailing arm extending in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle and crossing the axle body substantially perpendicular. The trailing arm has a front spring portion extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and an axle seating portion adjoining the front spring portion. The axle seating portion has a concave side at which the axle body is arranged. The suspension furthermore comprises at least one clamping strap for clamping the axle body and the trailing arm together. The at least one clamping strap has a front leg and a rear leg and an arched portion interconnecting said front and rear leg. The arched portion extends around a part of the circumference of the axle body. The legs of the strap are tensioned with respect to the trailing arm, such that the axle body is clamped between the arched portion of the strap and said concave side of the axle seating portion of the trailing arm. The axle body is arranged directly against the concave side of the axle seating portion of the trailing arm. The front leg of the strap extends towards the front through or along the side of the trailing arm and is supported at the front side of the axle seating portion. The rear leg of the strap extends through or along the side of the trailing arm towards the rear and is supported at the rear side of the axle seating portion.

    • An axle lift to be mounted to a wheel axle suspension of a vehicle including a pivot bolt. The axle lift (20) comprises an actuator (21) adapted to lift the wheel axle, a support (22) to be mounted to the carrying bracket (2) and supporting one end of the actuator, and a positioning bracket (23) mounted to an opposite end of the actuator, facing the trailing arm (4). The support or the positioning bracket, or both the support and the positioning bracket include two arms (223, 233), each provided with an attachment aperture (224, 234) and adapted to be arranged at the pivot bolt. The axle lift furthermore comprises an extension piece adapted to be mounted to the head of the pivot bolt and adapted to be introduced through the attachment aperture of one of said arms. A head-sided tightening means cooperates with a female or male fastening means of the pivot bolt head for tightening the extension piece to the head.
