    • The invention relates to a method for producing a bearing component (1), particularly a connecting rod (1) made of a molded part (2), wherein the bearing component (1) comprises at least one divided bearing seat (5) formed by a bearing base (3) and a bearing cover (4), and a bearing seat surface (7) coated with a bearing coating material is configured in the bearing seat (5) for the support of a shaft. In the method according to the present invention the bearing cover (4) is separated from the molded part (2) along a separating surface (8). The invention further relates to a device for carrying out an efficient and cost-effective production process for coated bearing components.
