    • A razor cartridge (30) is provided with a skin engaging structure (50) at the cap and/or guard surface of the razor cartridge. The skin engaging structure has an array of closely spaced elongated protrusions (52) integrally formed with a substrate (54). In use, the protrusions produce a pleasant tactile sensation tending to reduce shaving discomfort. The protrusions are formed by closely packed molded flexible filaments that can be less than 0.25 mm wide and have spacing between adjacent protrusions less than 0.2 mm. The protrusions can have a density greater than 5 protrusions per mm2. The skin engaging structure can be molded from e.g. an olefin polymer. The substrate can be integrally formed with a housing (40) of the razor cartridge.

    • In a razor cartridge (10) , a housing (12) defines a guard (18) and a cap portion (22). At least four razor blades (16, 20, 24, 26) are positioned between the guard and cap portion, each having a cutting edge and an overall exposure relative to at least two skin engaging surfaces defined by the razor cartridge. The blades are positioned within a housing such that the overall exposures for the blad es do not progressively increase from the first or guard blade to the last or cap blade. The overall exposure IE of each of the razor blades is equal to an aver age of four individual exposures measured along a length defined by the razor blade for which exposure is being sought. The individual exposures are equal to the length of an exposure line extending between the cutting edge of the razor bla de for which exposure is being sought and a tangent line, the exposure line being approximately perpendicular to the tangent line.
