    • According to one aspect of the present invention, a razor handle includes a first handle portion (12) and a removable cap (14) . The first handle portion (12) includes a first molded portion(16) , a second molded portion(20) , and a cavity (22) . A removable cap (14) includes a first molded cap portion (24) and a second molded cap portion (26) . The second molded cap (26) portion forms a sealing ring (28) on the removable cap (14) . The removable cap (14) is selectively detachable to the first handle portion (12) . The sealing ring (28) , when the removable cap (14) is attached to the first handle portion (12) , forms a seal between the removable cap (14) and the first handle portion (12) , preventing water from entering the cavity (22) during normal shaving. Preferably, the first molded cap portion (24) and the first molded portion (16) of the first handle portion (12) are formed simultaneously.     • As shaving system comprises a shaving head structure; a blade frame defining a longitudinal axis; and at least two blades mounted in the blade frame, each having a cutting edge extending parallel to the longitudinal axis. The frame is mounted on said structure for oscillatory motion perpendicular to, or about an axis parallel to, said longitudinal axis; and a drive system coupled to said frame produces said oscillatory motion. The amplitude of said oscillatory motion is chosen to exceed 0.4 mm and the frequency exceeds 80 Hz go give an average cutting speed greater than 400 mm per second. In one embodiment at least one blade faces in each of two opposed shaving directions, and the amplitude of said oscillatory motion exceeds the spacing between the cutting edges of said oppositely facing blades. The spacing is preferably in the range 0.6 to 1.4 mm and said amplitude is preferably in the range 0.4 to 2.0 mm.

    • The invention relates to a shaving head (5) which comprises a cutting member (17) having a cutting edge (19) for cutting hairs (53) growing from human skin (51). The shaving head (5) also comprises a hair manipulator (21) which is arranged in front of the cutting edge, viewed in a shaving direction (Y) of the shaving head. The hair manipulator can be driven in a direction parallel to the cutting edge to move the hairs in a direction substantially parallel to the cutting edge, and protects the skin against incised wounds and irritations. According to the invention, the hair manipulator is arranged in a fixed position with respect to the cutting member, the hair manipulator and the cutting member being jointly drivable in a direction parallel to the cutting edge. In this manner, an accurately defined position of the hair manipulator relative to the cutting member, which is necessary for a safe operation of the shaving head, can be obtained in a simple and reliable manner without the use of an accurate construction of the shaving head. The shaving head is used in a shaver (1) according to the invention, which further comprises driving means (43) for driving the shaving head.
