摘要： A high efficiency cooling and heating apparatus comprises an outdoor condensing unit having a high speed fan disposed within a housing. Also disposed with the housing is a micro compressor run by a high speed brushless DC motor with a custom winding to increase efficiency and decrease weight. A control circuit allows the motor to operate at high speeds almost instantaneously. The fan pulls air across a dual condenser coil disposed within the housing. An indoor evaporative unit also houses a high speed fan along with a control circuit to allow an operator to select cooling or heating an air flow. The indoor and out door units are connected with hoses to provide heat exchange. The apparatus can be operated at a much higher ambient temperature than conventional air cooling and heating systems.

摘要： A modular lighting apparatus includes a replaceable bulb assembly, an adapter, and a mechanical and electrical connector assembly that removably connects the bulb assembly to the adapter for use. The bulb assembly includes a light-emitting component mounted to a body. In example embodiments the light- emitting component includes spiral-tube CFLs, low-profile transverse CFL tubes, and omni-directional LED arrays. The adapter includes a standard screw base mounted to a body that houses an electronic ballast. In this way, the bulb assembly can be removed from the adapter and replaced, while reusing the electronic ballast in the adapter. And the screw-base adapter allows the reuse of the electronic ballast in standard screw-socket household light fixtures. In addition, the reusable adapter base also may be provided with an integral photocell for light-based control of the lighting apparatus without increasing the overall height of the composite lighting apparatus.

The base has a threaded portion that is adapted to receive a complementary threaded portion in an outer protective bulb. The base holds a plug used to removably attach a sealed inner bulb. There is a plurality of holes in the outer bulb to allow air to flow therein. The sealed inner bulb is replaced as needed. Additionally, the inner sealed bulb may be an incandescent, CFL or LED. In one embodiment, a sensor is provided to provide automatic operation. In another embodiment, three-way functionality is provided. Replacement sealed bulbs may be provided in a bulk pack to further economize.

摘要： The present device is a temperature regulation system for a vehicle turned on or off. The temperature regulation system includes a rechargeable battery for supplying power to an air moving system and a heat exchanger in accordance with demand signals from the thermostat, independent of the on/off state of the ignition system. In one embodiment, a DC motor is electrically connected to the rechargeable battery and rotationally coupled to a variable-speed compressor replacing the existing compressor of the vehicle, improving efficiency and extending the use of the rechargeable battery. The temperature regulation system may be used to heat or to cool the vehicle when the temperature of the air in the vehicle exceeds a certain threshold.
