    • An air conditioner service fitting is provided and includes a valve body (12) comprising a threaded bore (20) and an annular valve seat (22) extending around the bore. The valve body is configured and the valve seat is positioned such that all fluid that passes through the bore crosses the valve seat. A twist-to-open valve (40) is disposed in the bore and threadedly engages with the valve body. The twist-to-open valve includes a valve element (44) configured to form a polymer-to-metal seal with the valve seat. The polymer-to-metal seat stops substantially all fluid flow through the bore and the flow path when the twist-to-open valve is closed. The valve body further includes an external connection feature (110) disposed around the bore. The valve body comprises an external sealing surface.

    • A pressure regulator valve has a housing (105) that defines a fluid passage and a flat seat (107) disposed around an opening of the fluid passage and exit ports. A pin (110) with a raised conforming elastomeric embossment (101) that contacts the seat (107) when the valve is closed is axially disposed in the housing. The pin (110) is biased to maintain the elastomeric embossment (101) in contact with the seat to maintain the valve closed and control an opening pressure of the valve. Flow of fluid through and out of the pressure regulator valve housing (105) is controlled through adjustment of a level of this biasing. The fluid flows across the flat seat and between the flat seat and the embossment when the valve is open in such a manner that the flow is generally laminar and such that the valve minimizes pressure gain at the onset of flow.

    • A pressure relief valve (2) includes a valve insert (4) having an opening (14) at a first end (8) and a pathway (12) extending towards the opening (14) from a second end (10) of the valve insert (4). An adjustment member (6) is received within in the opening (14) of the valve insert (4). The valve insert (4) and the adjustment member (6) define a chamber (20) adjacent the pathway (12). A width of the bearing element (23) is larger than a width of the pathway (12). A spring (26) is within the chamber (20) and is under compression and in line with the bearing element (23). A cushioning member (30) surrounds the valve insert 849and allows the flow of pressurized fluid. The spring (26) exerts a force on the bearing element (23) such that the bearing element (23) is biased against the pathway (12) and forms a seal between the chamber (20) and the pathway (12).
