    • Suture anchors (100) and methods for using the suture anchors (100) for attaching soft tissue, such as ligaments, tendons, and muscles, to bone are disclosed herein. A suture anchor (100) for attaching soft tissue to bone includes a catheter (130) having an elongated shaft with a proximal end, a distal end, and a longitudinal axis therebetween, wherein the catheter (130) has at least one inner lumen capable of allowing a light curable adhesive to pass therethrough; a balloon portion engaging the distal end of the catheter (130), wherein the balloon portion (136) expands from a deflated state to an inflated state when a light curable adhesive is delivered to the balloon portion (136); and at least one suture material (150) for passing through soft tissue to attach the soft tissue to a bone.

    • An apparatus and method for using an ultrasonic medical device (11) to treat coronary thrombus bearing lesions (75) comprises an ultrasonic probe (15), a transducer, a coupling (33) engaging a proximal end (31) of the ultrasonic probe (15) to a distal end (24) of the transducer and an ultrasonic energy source (99) engaged to the transducer. The ultrasonic probe (15) is inserted into a vasculature in communication with the coronary thrombus bearing lesion (75). The ultrasonic energy source (99) produces energy that is transmitted to the transducer, which generates a transverse ultrasonic vibration along the ultrasonic probe (15). The transverse ultrasonic vibration creates a plurality of transverse nodes (40)and a plurality of transverse anti­nodes (42) along the longitudinal axis of the ultrasonic probe(15), creating cavitation along a portion of the longitudinal axis of the ultrasonic probe (15) to ablate the coronary thrombus bearing lesion (75).
