摘要： A DAB module assembly (10) for attachment to a steering wheel armature (20) has a housing (12) for storing an airbag cushion and a leaf spring (2). The housing (12) has a plurality of guides (18) positioned on the housing (12) spaced from an axial center of the housing (12). The leaf spring (2) has a three point attachment wherein the leaf spring (2) is attached in two locations (5) on a lower portion of the housing (12), and a third attachment location of the leaf spring (2) separate of the housing is spaced from a housing bottom (13) and has an aperture (3) for fitting onto a projection (22) fixed on the armature.

摘要： A steering wheel assembly has a steering wheel armature (5), a hub portion (18) and spokes (2). The hub portion (18) is fixable to a conventional steering column shaft (6). The steering wheel assembly has a first drum (9) supported on the steering column shaft (6), to freely rotate about only the axis of the steering column shaft (6). A second drum (10) is freely rotatable with respect to the first drum (9) about only a second axis. The second axis is parallel to and spaced apart from or incident to of the steering column shaft (6). Stationary means (11 ) are provided for supporting the second drum (10) on the first drum (9). Both the first drum (9) and the second drum (10) are rotated around their respective axes (X, Y) by the spokes (2) engaging their sidewalls. The support (11 ) provides a stationary support member onto which an airbag module or other devices can be mounted.

摘要： It is disclosed a system (1) and a method for detecting the presence or the absence of a hand on a steering wheel (9), the steering wheel being provided with one or more conductive wires (2, 2a, 2b, 3), said system (1) comprising a detection device (5) comprising an input circuit (6) for providing an input signal (11) to at least one conductive wire (2, 2a) of said one or more conductive wires (2, 2a, 2b, 3), said input signal (11) being an electrical signal having a frequency comprised in the RF range, and an output circuit (7) configured for sensing the impedance of said at least one conductive wire (2) or for sensing the inductive coupling between said at least one conductive wire (2a) and at least one second conductive wire (2b) in response to said input signal. The detection device (5) is configured for detecting a change in value of the impedance of said at least one conductive wire (2, 2b) or for detecting a change in value of said inductive coupling between said at least one conductive wire (2a) and said at least one second conductive wire (2b), that is indicative of the presence or the absence of a hand on said steering wheel (9).

摘要： A steering wheel having a stationary portion supporting a DAB or similar module, comprises an armature (1) having a hub (2, H) directly mounted to a vehicle steering shaft and provided with an opening (3) through which a coiled element (5) passes. A non-rotating housing (41) is assembled with the hub (2) and the coiled element (5) connects the non-rotating housing (41) to a fixed part (61) of the vehicle and carries one or more electric wires to the DAB. The coiled element (5) is screwing or unscrewing itself to or from the hub (2, H) via the opening (3) when the steering wheel is rotated. A gear assembly is provided for supporting the stationary portion (41) when the steering wheel is rotated.
