摘要： Embodiments of the present disclosure describe methods, apparatuses, and systems for managing bearers in a wireless communication system. In some embodiments, an apparatus, to be employed by a user equipment (UE), may comprise a communication module to: communicate with a core network on a first bearer through a master evolved Node B (MeNB); receive, from the MeNB, a first message of reconfiguring a radio resource control (RRC) connection to establish a second bearer between the UE and the core network and through a secondary eNB (SeNB); synchronize, in response to the message, with the SeNB in order to establish the second bearer; and communicate with the core network on the second bearer through the SeNB, and continue communicating with the core network on the first bearer through the MeNB.

摘要： A method and apparatus are described for accessing services affiliated with a service provider. A first discovery procedure may be performed to discover at least one service provider, and a bootstrap procedure may be performed with the at least one discovered service provider. A second discovery procedure may then be performed to determine available service capability layers (SCLs) supported by the at least one discovered service provider. The first discovery procedure may include transmitting a service provider discovery request including information for querying a record database to determine matching service provider discovery records, and receiving a service provider discovery response including a service discovery function record list that matches queries in the service provider discovery request. At least one service provider from the service discovery function record list may be selected to bootstrap with. Various versions of the second discovery procedure are described.

摘要： A method and apparatus for supporting machine-type communications (MTC) are disclosed. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may configure itself to operate in a mobile-originated-only mode. The WTRU may perform no, or a subset of, radio resource control (RRC) idle and/or non-access stratum (NAS) idle/standby state procedures in the mobile-originated-only mode. For example, the WTRU may perform cell reselection but not paging monitoring in the mobile-originated-only mode. Alternatively, the WTRU may perform paging monitoring but not cell reselection and location update. The operation in the mobile-originated-only mode may be triggered explicitly or implicitly. For example, the WTRU may operate in the mobile-originated-only mode if an inactivity timer expires. The WTRU may switch the mode in accordance with a pre-configured schedule. After transition of the operation mode, the WTRU may send a message to the network indicating such mode switch.

摘要： A method and apparatus for hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) transmission are disclosed. If a packet has not been successfully transmitted, it is determined whether an HARQ early termination condition is met. If the HARQ early termination condition is met, the HARQ process is terminated and the packet is discarded at the HARQ level. The HARQ early termination condition is met if a positive acknowledgement (ACK) has not been received until the number of retransmissions reaches a predetermined limit that is dynamically configured based on channel condition, measurement, etc. Alternatively, the HARQ early termination condition is met if a transmit power required for successful transmission of the packet is much higher than an actual transmit power. Alternatively, the HARQ early termination condition is met if a transport format combination (TFC) selected for retransmission is different from an optimal TFC. A higher layer may be notified of the early HARQ termination.

摘要： Technology for supporting dual connectivity is disclosed. A user equipment (UE) may receive a radio resource control (RRC) reconfiguration message from a macro evolved node B (MeNB). The RRC reconfiguration message may indicate that a secondary cell associated with a secondary eNB (SeNB) is to be added for connection to the UE. The UE may complete an RRC reconfiguration procedure to add the secondary cell. The UE may send a preamble to the SeNB indicating that the UE has completed the RRC reconfiguration procedure. The UE may communicate data with the SeNB after sending the preamble to the SeNB, wherein the UE supports dual connectivity to the MeNB and the SeNB.

摘要： Generally discussed herein are systems and methods that include Radio Link Monitoring (RLM) on an Enhanced Physical Downlink Control Channel (EPDCCH) transmission within a Heterogeneous Network (HetNet). RLM can be done without regard to a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) quality level. A User Equipment (UE) can be configured to receive the EPDCCH transmission from an Enhanced Node B (eNodeB). A quality level of the EPDCCH transmission can be estimated based upon a BLock Error Rate (BLER) of the EPDCCH transmission. If the quality level is lower than a first threshold value for a first specified number of consecutive periods, a timer can be started. In response to determining the quality level is greater than a second threshold for a second specified number of consecutive periods stop the timer before the timer expires. If the timer is stopped before the timer expires, declare a Radio Link Failure (RLF).
