    • Systems and method for tracking measurements from a wireless measurement device are provided. A tracking server is in communication with wireless measurement devices deployed in the field and periodically receives usage reports from the measurement devices to ensure timely measurements by the user and to monitor usage of the measurement devices to ensure compliance. The wireless measurement device is configured to measure one or more analyte levels or concentrations, presence, and/or absence of one or more analytes of the user. The fact of the measurement and the results of the measurement are provided to the tracking server via a wireless communication network. The tracking server stores the information for historical tracking of measurement data usage data. The tracking server may send alerts to a predetermined list of people to notify them when the user is not using the measurement device or when the number of authorized uses needs to be replenished.

    • The present invention is related to non-invasive methods and instruments to detect the level of analyte concentrations in the tissue of a subject. The spectra of mid-infrared radiation emitted from a subject's body are altered corresponding to the concentration of various compounds within the radiating tissue. In one aspect of the invention, an instrument floods a body surface of the subject, such as the subject's eye, with radiation in the mid-infrared range and measures analyte concentrations based on mid-infrared radiation reflected back to the instrument. In another aspect of the invention, an instrument measures the level of mid-infrared radiation from the subject's body surface, such as the eye, and determines a specific analyte's concentration based on said analyte's distinctive mid-infrared radiation signature. A preferred aspect of the invention is related to non-invasive methods and instruments to detect the level of analyte concentrations in the tissue of a subject by measuring electromagnetic radiation signatures from the subject's conjunctiva. The spectra of mid-infrared radiation emitted from a subject's body are altered corresponding to the concentration of various compounds within the radiating tissue. In one aspect of the preferred embodiment of the invention, an instrument floods the conjunctiva of the subject with electromagnetic radiation in the mid-infrared range and measures analyte concentrations based on mid-infrared radiation reflected back to the instrument.

    • An apparatus and method of use for enabling a NAM device are provided. The NAM device is configured to authenticate its use each time a measurement is requested. The operation of the NAM device is governed by a refillable media card that tracks a predetermined number of authorized uses. The NAM device confirms that remaining authorized uses are available on the refillable media card. In addition to tracking the number of authorized uses of the NAM device, the media card may also store the results of the measurements for tracking by a tracking server. When the number of authorized uses on the media card is depleted, the media card may be refilled by completing a refill transaction over a wired or wireless communication network. Alternatively, the media card may be refilled at a kiosk station or a new media card may be obtained for use with the NAM device.
