    • A system and method permit a user to browse and compare products of a merchant using information about a competitor. In one embodiment of the system and method, a page server serves a competitor electronic page to a customer browser which permits the user to select a competitor. The competitor electronic page includes a hyperlink having a manufacturer ID parameter, which hyperlink, when selected, issues a request to the page server for competitor product information. The request includes the manufacturer ID. Responsive to that request, the page server uses the manufacturer ID to form a query to present to a product database having competitive product information, manufacturer information, product information and associations between that information. A database engine processes the query and returns records satisfying the query. The records are used to construct a competitor product electronic page permitting a user to select a competitor product. The page server serves the competitor product electronic page to the customer browser.

    • A closed system, needleless valve device includes a generally tubular body (20) defining an internal cavity. On the proximal end of the body there is an opening (25A) which is preferably sufficiently large to receive an ANSI standard tip of a medical implement. The distal end of the body has a generally tubular skirt (16). The valve also includes a hollow spike (24) having a closed tip. The spike includes at least one longitudinal 18-gauge hole (34) located distal the tip, and is seated inside the cavity such that the tip is below the proximal end of the body. An annular support cuff (28) is connected to the spike which seals off a portion of the cavity of the body such that an upper cavity containing the tip is defined. The valve also includes a plastic, resilient silicone seal (36) which fills the upper cavity and opening and covers the tip of the spike so as to present a flush surface. An adaptor enables the valve to be attached to a resealable container.

    • Some embodiments disclosed herein related to a device for transferring precise amounts of fluid from at least one source container to a at least one target container. In some embodiments, the fluid is first transferred from the source container (e.g., a vial) through a connector to an intermediate measuring container (e.g., a syringe). In some embodiments air can pass through an air inlet and enter the vial to compensate for the volume of fluid withdrawn from the vial. An air check valve or a bag or a filter can prevent the fluid from escaping through the air inlet. The precisely measured amount of fluid can then be transferred from the intermediate measuring container to the target container (e.g., an IV bag). In some embodiments the connector can include a source check valve and a target check valve to direct fluid first from the source container to the intermediate measuring container and then from the intermediate measuring container to the target container. Some embodiments of the device can include a motor and a controller for automatically actuating a plunger of the syringe to transfer the desired amount of fluid.
