摘要： A wind turbine yaw assembly has a yaw piston and a yaw bearing pad. A spring resides inside the yaw piston and applies spring pressure to the yaw bearing pad. A threaded yaw piston bushing applies adjustable pressure to the spring. The threaded yaw bushing has a plurality of at least three force adjustment screws distributed symmetrically about the threaded yaw piston bushing. The spring pressure is adjusted by tightening or loosening the plurality of force adjustment screws. This abstract is not to be considered limiting, since other embodiments may deviate from the features described in this abstract.

摘要： A method is disclosed for authorizing a prepaid network service in a data network. A network end station issues a request for a prepaid network service. At a network node, a determination is made about whether a user associated with the end station is authorized to access the prepaid network service. Network traffic from the end station is forwarded to a service provider only when the user is authorized to use the prepaid network service. Specific embodiments provide message flows among a mobile station (102), gateway support node (106), router (110), and authentication server (130) that support providing prepaid services in a packet-switched network for mobile communication. In certain embodiments, a connection is held open for an end station while a prepaid quota value is refreshed at a portal, thereby reducing overhead and precluding the need to repeat user logon steps.

摘要： A memory management unit (MMU) performs address translation and protection using a segment table and page table model. Each DMA queue entry may include a MMU- miss dependency flag. The DMA issue mechanism uses the MMU-miss dependency flag to block the issue of commands that are known to result in a translation miss. However, the direct memory access engine does not block subsequent DMA commands from being issued until they receive a translation miss. When the MMU completes processing of a miss, the MMU sends a miss clear signal to the DMA control unit to reset all MMU-miss dependency flags. When the MMU sends a miss clear signal, the DMA control unit will reset all DMA queue entries with MMU-miss dependency flags set. DMA commands in the DMA queue that were blocked from issue by the MMU-miss dependency flag may now be selected by the DMA control unit for issue.

摘要： Cellulosic material is treated by atmospheric-pressure (AP) plasma to enhance processes for extracting sugars from cellulosic material and fermenting sugars into alcohol's or other chemicals. In one example, the AP plasma treatment is utilized to improve the release, activation or production of glucose and conversion of glucose to ethanol. The AP plasma treatment may be performed in conjunction with other processes such as depolymerization or degradation, for example hydrolysis, as well as fermentation. The AP plasma treatment may be performed as a substitute for pretreatment processes such as steam explosion, and in some implementations is sufficiently effective to serve as a substitute for hydrolytic processes or at least as an enhancement to hydrolytic processes or other depolymerization or degradation processes.
