    • The present invention relates to a cooking apparatus. A cooking apparatus according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises: a cavity provided with a cooking compartment; at least one electronic component installed in the cavity; a steam-generating device installed in the cavity for supplying steam to the cooking compartment; a cooling fan for generating an airflow for cooling the electronic component and an airflow flowing into the cooking compartment; and a duct for guiding air exhausted to the outside of the cooking compartment after having been sucked into the cooking compartment and circulated within the cooking compartment by means of the cooling fan, and for condensing steam included in the air exhausted to the outside of the cooking compartment. Thus, according to the present invention, the discharge of steam supplied to the cooking compartment together with the air for purging the cooking compartment can be reduced.

    • In order to provide a cooking apparatus that has a cooling flow path extended from a rear space to a lower space of the cooking apparatus, the present invention discloses a cooking apparatus, which comprises: a cooking cavity; a rear space located behind the cooking cavity; a lower space located under the cooking cavity; a cooling flow path extended from the rear space to the lower space; an inlet of the cooling flow path provided at the rear space; and an outlet of the cooling flow path provided at the lower space. Through this configuration, a flow can sufficiently remain in the cooking apparatus, and thus the cooking apparatus can effectively be cooled down. Also, a cooking apparatus with a cooling flow path from the rear space to the lower space can be provided.

In an example of the present invention, the cooking appliance control method comprises the steps of: generating radiant heat and convective heat to be supplied to a cooking chamber, by means of a heating source; and operating a steam generator in order to generate steam to be supplied to the cooking chamber. In this control method, if a signal for starting the operation of the steam generator is input before the operation of the heating source has started, the operation of the steam generator starts at a predetermined time regardless of the time at which the operation of the heating source starts, whereas, if the signal for starting the operation of the steam generator is input after the operation of the heating source has started, it starts at the time at which the signal for the operation of the steam generator is input. Consequently, the present invention has the advantage that meals can be cooked using steam in a relatively efficient and safe fashion.

If a signal for initiating the operation of the steam generator is inputted before the high-frequency heat source begins operating, the operation of the steam generator is initiated at a preset time irrespective of when the high-frequency heat source begins operating. If the signal for initiating the operation of the steam generator is inputted after the high-frequency heat source begins operating, the operation of the steam generator is initiated at the time when the signal is inputted. Thus, according to the present invention, cooking food using steam can be made more efficient and safe.

The multifunctional ceramic composition has significantly high efficiency of removing ammonia smell, an excellent disinfection effect on E. coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, good activation of water by reduction, and a remarkably high far- infrared irradiation effect as compared to normal glass compositions. Further, products obtained according to the preset invention have a high degree of hydrophilicity, which allows them to be utilized in various products with excellent functions. The multifunctional ceramic composition according to the present invention also emits abundant amount of anions, raising combustion efficiency.
