    • The present invention relates to an apparatus for controlling the degree of damping during the shut-off of an exhaust valve of a large diesel engine, wherein a pressure control valve is installed in a damper piston of the large diesel engine to control the pressure of hydraulic oil in the damper cylinder to the desired level during the shut-off of the exhaust valve, thereby controlling the degree of damping of the exhaust valve in accordance with design specifications. The present invention has a technical ideal in that the exhaust valve damping apparatus having the damper piston and the damper cylinder comprises: a horizontal flow channel (1) opened through both sides of the interior of the damper piston to enable the inflow of hydraulic oil; a vertical flow channel (2) penetrating from the horizontal flow channel (1) to the bottom surface of the damper piston; and a pressure control valve (3) mounted on a certain point of the vertical flow channel such that the check valve (3) opens upwardly by a pressure difference to discharge hydraulic oil, thereby controlling the degree of damping during the shut-off of the exhaust valve.

    • The present invention relates to a damping apparatus for an exhaust valve for preventing cavitation in a hydraulic exhaust valve-driving apparatus of a large diesel engine. The objective of the present invention is to provide a damping apparatus for an exhaust valve for preventing cavitation in a damper cylinder during the opening of an exhaust valve, and thus preventing noise, vibration, and erosion caused by cavitation, by having a check valve arranged in a damper piston of the large engine to enable hydraulic oil to easily flow into the damper cylinder. The present invention has a technical ideal in that the damping apparatus having the damper piston and the damper cylinder comprises: a horizontal flow channel (1) opened through both sides of the interior of the damper piston to enable the inflow of hydraulic oil; a vertical flow channel (2) penetrating from the horizontal flow channel (1) to the bottom surface of the damper piston; and a check valve (3) mounted on a certain point of the vertical flow channel such that the check valve (3) opens downwardly by a pressure difference, thereby enabling hydraulic oil to flow into the damper cylinder and thus preventing cavitation.

    • The present invention relates to an apparatus for preventing cavitation damage to a diesel engine fuel injection pump, wherein a pressure control valve for shutting a barrel port is mounted on a deflector or a barrel of the fuel injection pump to increase the fuel pressure in the barrel port during an early stage of fuel compression. This prevents fountain-type or jet-type cavitation from occurring before and after the opening of the barrel port during a late stage of fuel compression, thereby preventing corrosion damage caused by cavitation occurring mainly in a plunger and the barrel port of the fuel injection pump. The key technical features of the present invention are for an apparatus for preventing cavitation damage to a diesel engine fuel injection pump having a fuel intake valve and the barrel port for the inflow and outflow of fuel, respectively, comprising: a valve member mounted on the barrel port to shut the barrel port during an early stage of fuel compression performed by the upward movement of the plunger to increase the pressure in the barrel port; a valve housing installed in the deflector or the barrel of a pump housing to support the valve member; and a pressure control valve constituted by a spring interposed between the valve member and the valve housing to elastically support the valve member. The barrel port is shut to increase the pressure therein during the early stage of fuel compression, and thus preventing cavitation caused by the pressure difference between the barrel port and a pump chamber before and after the opening of the barrel port during the late stage of fuel compression. When the pressure of fuel in the barrel port exceeds a level higher than an open level, the barrel port opens to discharge fuel.

    • The present invention relates to a fuel injection valve for an internal combustion engine, in which both a main needle and a pilot needle are opened or only the pilot needle is opened by compressed high-pressure fuel oil or compressed air, thereby enabling main injection and pilot injection to be separately performed by the single fuel-injection valve. The fuel injection valve of the present invention comprises: a valve body; a nozzle coupled to a lower end of the valve body; a valve plate which is installed in the valve body and which has a compressed air chamber formed in the upper portion thereof; a main needle spindle arranged at the lower end of the valve plate; a main needle which is arranged in the nozzle, such that the main needle is positioned at the lower end of the main needle spindle, which opens a flow channel formed in the nozzle by supplied compressed fuel oil so as to inject fuel through a main injection hole, and which has a pilot supply port; a main needle spring interposed between the main needle spindle and the valve plate; a spring plate, the lower portion of which is inserted into the valve plate, and in the upper portion of which an air supply hole is formed so as to supply air into the compressed air chamber; a pilot needle spring positioned at the lower end of the spring plate; a pilot needle spindle positioned at the lower end of the pilot needle spring; and a pilot needle which is arranged at the main needle, such that the pilot needle is positioned at the lower end of the pilot needle spindle, and which operates by the fuel oil supplied through the pilot supply port of the main needle so as to open a flow channel formed in the main needle in order to inject fuel through a pilot injection hole.
