摘要： Embodiments of a backlit keyboard assembly are described. A keycap (202) assembly is mounted into a case web (104) having intersecting ribs. A flange (210), which can be angled, is on the bottom perimeter of the keycap (202) and a correspondingly shaped flange (212) is on each rib of the case web (104). An overlap of the keycap flange (210) and the case web flanges (212) prevents direct sighting of the backlight light source (208) and also provides a more evenly distributed halo around the keycap (202), thereby improving both aesthetics and functionality by providing better light control and contrast.

摘要： Electronic devices may use touch pads that have touch sensor arrays, force sensors, and actuators for providing tactile feedback. A touch pad may be mounted in a computer housing. The touch pad may have a rectangular planar touch pad member that has a glass layer covered with ink and contains a capacitive touch sensor array. Force sensors may be mounted under each of the four corners of the rectangular planar touch pad member. The force sensors may be used to measure how much force is applied to the surface of the planar touch pad member by a user. Processed force sensor signals may indicate the presence of button activity such as press and release events. In response to detected button activity or other activity in the device, actuator drive signals may be generated for controlling the actuator. The user may supply settings to adjust signal processing and tactile feedback parameters.

The method may further include choosing, from the subset of vehicles, a selected vehicle having an earliest estimated time of arrival at the origin location.

摘要： A portable computing device includes at least a base portion of a lightweight material that includes a wedge shaped top case coupled to a bottom case The portable computing device also includes a lid portion pivotally connected to the base portion by a hinge assembly. The lid portion has a display in communication with one or more components in the base portion via one or more electrical conductors. A touch pad situated on the base portion includes a glass layer bonded atop a cosmetic layer, a sensor layer for detecting inputs via a top surface of the glass layer, circuitry for processing signals, and a connection interface for connecting the circuitry to a main logic board. The glass layer provides primary structural rigidity for the touch pad.
